5 signings and the window isn't open yet......sounds pretty positive to me..especially if we are still after Clyne, Bacca, Rondon, or one of the two midfielders from Madrid or Milan (can't spell their names without looking ;D)

Clyne and Bacca would do me.

Actually I'd even be happy with just Bacca.

So if we got both, that's chubby territory? ;D

      Indeed mate.

I've been more positive then I thought I was going to be this summer and the business so far has been very good.

I'm the same Si.  I've been on a massive downer since the end of March, I really felt we were heading in the wrong direction in every aspect of the Club but I like the work we've done so far.

Still a lot of work to do before September in terms of getting rid of unwanted players but the squad seems to be taking shape nicely.

I'm overwhelmed, truly thought we were going to get mediocrity this summer.

No doubt we need Clyne, Bacca would be another amazing transfer despite his age (29 in December) could have 2, 3, maybe even 4 good seasons, I would be hoping 3 anyway. Don't know much about Rondon to be honest but think it will be one or the other with him and Bacca anyway.

Firmino is just class, should have gone for him last summer but better late than never!

As you have said many times this past year Si....thing probably are not as bleak what they appeared to be.

We get a Bocca/Rondon in as well as Clyne and this entire post-Gerrard squad has been revamped.

Get a top 4 spot, beating the top 4 sides along the way and perhaps winning one of the 2 cups would be a good start for me. Anything else would be a big bonus.

The signing of Benteke must spell positivity, only hope after yesterday's cracking goal a sign of things to come.

      1 game, 1 win, 1 clean sheet.

Chance to double that tally tonight.

Go two points ahead of Everton, three ahead of Arsenal, five ahead of Chelsea, Spurs and Southampton.

      Let's be positive!!!

6 points from our opening two games, with two clean sheets. Benteke off the mark at Anfield, albeit fortunate. At least a bit more positive than the end of last season.

I do believe we will be soundly beaten next week IF we play like we did in the last two games, but I don't expect that.

First of all, if our full backs can keep up their solid and reliable performances, then worries about defence won't be too bad.

Also, if Henderson is out, Can will have to put 110% effort in to replicate the captain's efforts. I worry slightly that he has an attitude that tends to take it a bit easier than Jordan, and if he does, he will be deservedly punished. However, we've seen what he's capable of so fingers crossed for that.

The attacking midfield - biggest concern here. Lallana and Ibe haven't done it at all in either game, though to be fair to Lallana he did slowly take to the game last night when he was moved deeper. If one of the two have to be dropped, then no question it would be Ibe for me.

But our biggest trump card will be Benteke I think. Arsenal have generally struggled against tall strikers in the past years, and add his pace to that and he could be a right handful for Koscielny and Mertesacker who aren't the fastest at all. Big Ben can also easily outjump these guys too.

If we can get good service to him in the game (and the service to him last night was much improved from Stoke), then I think we will get something out of the game.

I was down at end of season, but Im back to being positive.

Things will be better next season.

I am possibly the most pessimistic fan i know. ( and my mates know).  But i am gona try and be be positive this season. It's been hard so far but i'm hoping an uninspiring ( play wise ) start. May turn into an effective playing style that might see us us make a run at the top 4 places. I have no faith in our manager, but i am at least eager to give him o e last chance.
