He will be a smashing hit here, especially if Klopp turns out to be the manager. Outstanding player.

I agree! They can't see the forest for the trees... completely WRONG!

      And back to Firmino...

Reckon this lad will be given a reboot under Klopp, providing he's willing to run and close down. Could be a very, very valuable player for us.

Agreed, obviously all tempered with the extent of his injury which the silence is beginning to worry me, but presuming he recovers I think this is the player that will indeed transform overnight.

He's more than willing to press. Besides his technical ability, that's one of the other noteworthy things about his time at Hoffenheim. Great workrate.

Agree fully. Not that he had a real go in the team in his short time here but I think he'll prosper under the new boss

He's as willing as anyone to run. He's known around Europe for his work rate. Not an issue.

Brendan had no idea how to accommodate Cou and Firmino in the same team.

This will be no problem to Klopp.

He showed some promise today, there were glimpses of the player we all know is there. The injury has obviously slowed down his adaptation to English football and there were still signs of that struggle, but I take more positives than negatives from today for Firmino.

He's showing some good foot work with the ball, doesn't look like the sort who will give the ball away cheaply by running it into a player. Not really a lot to judge him on at the moment but hopefully we will see a lot more of him now.

Was the only player making runs into the opposition box looking for a pass.

You can tell he's starting to think and play just a bit quicker in the last 2 games. He was a little lethargic and off the pace in his first few appearances. Now he looks like he's come to grips with the speed of play in England and he's about to start imposing himself as an attacking threat!!  Really excited to see more of him as he looks a special talent!!

Definately Harry, you can see the confidence in him now, I suspect that's Jürgen's influence and the belief in himself, great to see.

I think us fans need to be patient with him and let him settle in at his own pace and not look to put too much pressure on him.

I've never hidden my admiration for the lad so it'll be no surprise to hear me say that he could well turn out to be the best £21m we've ever spent and who knows... when we win the boat race, the grand national and wimbledon - the add-ons will make him 'the best £29m we've spent'.

Take my word for this - there's a hell of a lot more to come.
