      Clyne = better defender
      Johnson = better attacker

      I'm a little underwhelmed to be honest. He's consistent enough, around 7/10, but I fully expected him to be more involved in the business end, chipping in with assists and the odd goal.

      at this point I am just pleased we have a defender who doesn't flip everytime he has to defend. He is doing fine and will get better

      Hearing he picked up an injury against Norwich and is questionable for tomorrow with a knee issue. Really hope it isn't anything serious.

      Flanno to get a start, perhaps?

      Was better LB than Moreno even though he is not left footed. There again I am probably better than Moreno defensively!

      Amazing. Even when a player doesn't play, you still find a way to slate him.

      That's because Moreno isn't good enough to play left-back. Simples

      Just admit Clyne put a better shift in at left back last night than Moreno has all season.

      I can accept people agreeing with your first statement even if I think it's utter nonsense. The second statement though is exaggerated bollocks and is totally untrue.

      Although Clyne got some stick last night for putting in a relative for him poor performance, however watching the game again he got virtually no assistance from Lallana down that flank and on top of that Henderson was non existent in midfield, in fact Henderson was embarrassed by a 35 year old Carrick!

      So no great surprise when Clyne was up against two quick forwards ganging up on him he will look exposed.

      Meh. The fact that his thread is just five pages long tells you everything you need to know about this signing. He's been so consistent for us. He chose a decent game to have his worst ever game for us.

      Agreed.

      LFC's player of the year?

      Definitely our most consistent player of the year and to a very good standard too.

      Did I miss something, did he pick up an injury?  Wasn't even on the bench yesterday.

      Or is he just being rested?

      Absolutely, he has been Steady Eddie all season long. Delivers a 7/10 most matches with the odd 8/10 every 5 or 6 matches. He could own that RB spot for the 4-5 years.

      Probably got the bug off Stones when we played Everton.

      Apparently played his FIFTIETH game of the season tonight, that's crazy. And what a game it was! Congratulations Clyne.

      Had one of his best games attacking wise too in my opinion.
