Going to Hogwarts in couple of weeks. Got my owl and magic wand already.

Stupid Visa Letter hasn't arrived from Lancaster University. It's taking too long and I'm having stress before the university even starts.
Might go there a little early, get some shopping done and visit Anfield.

Anyone wants to bring me around? ;)

Get to the topic with no real subject.

I'm sure someone like Gow or MsG, or the others in Liverpool would be kind enough to accompany you there!

You probably chose Economics for a reason though? I mean, you don't dislike it I hope?

I like it, and it was my personal choice. My family always gave me all the support to make my own choice and I dont regret it.

But in the last 3 or 4 years my passion for films has grown immensely, and that's why I'm a little bit jealous :P Good luck to you btw, hope you enjoy your career :)

That's cool though. You could always try and work for a filmrelated company and combine your education with that passion though? There's alot of economics in the movie biz too.  And good luck to you too! :)

Registered for classes today, what a F***ing mess that is! Because im a new student as well, basically registering last with all the other newbies, and alot of the classes are full already. Our advisors at the school even told us just survive the first term, meet the credit requirement then take advantage of advanced registration in the coming term to start doing the classes you really want to. So my credit requirement being 12, i have picked just 3 classes worth 4 credits each, four days a week i have to go in. Doing both US history classes on offer, then a literature class. Not much variety, but literally all i could get almost, as all others either clashed or just were not open. Should be good though, i love history and that will help with the Journalism major, and then literature will also. Glad its over now and i just have to wait a couple weeks to knuckle down and get into study!

I was looking for some random possible post-graduation courses of my interest and just happened that the one I liked the most is in Liverpool university:

Does anyone here know something about this MBA? Should be amazing ;D

      Where are you going to?

It's that time in your life whereby its time to go, yes I haven't been through yet, seperating with my family and all but if I do go on to study overseas then it'll happen to me as well. The tough part is the beginning, settling down and all, so yeah, rid that homesickness, but continue to stay in constant contact with your family members.

I'm sure as time passes you'll get used to your new environment, new friends and all.

Like MsG said, enjoy. Have a positive attitude! ;)

Cheers guys, I've moved to Swansea ROF, was sad to say goodbye to the parents and family, and my mother crying as she left didn't make things easier haha. But I've settled in quite quickly, met all 20 people on my floor and my best mate is living next door which has made things easier!

As you said mate the hardest part is the begining with the long goodbyes and that but after a while you can put it to the back of your mind and get on with things I suppose, lucky for me I can get home in 40 minutes If I feel too homesick! :)

Ahh nothing to discuss mate, was just a boring welcome assembly where the heads of different departments basically just said where everything is... and well, made us welcome!

Tomorrow I have to get there early morning and attend some sessions I think.

      No sniff.

Missed out on going to the final in 2006, my brother, his mate and my dad stayed in Swansea and after getting back from Cardiff, went out on the lash, said it was F***ing boss.

Apparently plenty of reds around there too!

Listen to this for a killer of a day tomorrow for me.

Double ICT, where I have to sit next to a glory-hunting Manc for 2 hours, listening to his pathetic wind-up attempts (Rooney is better than Torres etc)  ::)

Then geography, don't mind it too much actually.

Then RE, the most boring lesson in the world, and we've got a test that we were meant to revise for, oops  ::)

Finish off with PE, where I've got to do badminton (I could've sworn I picked table tennis)

       >:( Not happy.
