My predictions for relegation before the games started today were Norwich, Sunderland and Villa.

Yeah Sunderland for sure will be there abouts.

This Amavi kid for Villa at left back looks terrific.

He's kept Bournemouth relatively quite down this right side hasn't he. Gestede has just come on so Bournemouth's defence should get tested a bit more.

I did a lucky dip 'Prem Predictor' at William Hill this morning and it's safe to say I may as well throw it away now :D

Think Norwich have the most potential of all the promoted sides myself so I'm not going to bet them just yet even if they are 2-0 down! I think Alex Neil could go far in management. Very far. Gets his team's to play smart intelligent football. They'll recover over 38 games I feel.

Think Sunderland have pushed their luck too often and they'll get what they deserve this year - relegation. You don't get anywhere in football by buying old age Man Utd rejects accompanied by a revolving door of managers coming in and then out. They are utterly undeserving of their Premier League status and to be frank, it pisses me right off!

Gestede with a bullet header! Had a feeling he'd test this Bournemouth defence when he came on. Nobody was picking him up, that's football suicide!

Norwich's problem has always been at the back though, I just don't think they'll score enough to cover the goals that they'll concede.

After his pre-match comments he's going to make it out to be the win of his career.

      Good point.

Just been denied an equaliser against Palace and harshly too. A "high foot" from Cameron Jerome - it wasn't. He was well within his rights to hook that over his shoulder and the Palace defender bowed his head down to it. High foot my arse.

Not going to happen, but an Everton and a Bournemouth goal would be very good for my bank balance right now, especially if the Norwich-Palace game stays as is.

I'm going to try a different take on things this season mate, I'm looking at things solely from a stats pov.

10 points from each group of 5 games, averaging 10 goals scored should be enough to achieve our minimum target of top 4, anything else is a bonus.  I believe we can achieve that and if it's one of those seasons where a lot of clubs have above average numbers then it's out of our hands.

Minimum 70 goals scored with 70+ points won and we're at least back around where we need to be.

      Very brendanesque debs. ;)

Feel for Bournemouth today, a lot better than villa. Chin up lads.

Oscar 1-0. Azpilicueta won the free kick. Poor goalkeeping by Fabianski. It went all the way through towards the goal and for some reason he took a step to the right before going back onto his left but it was too late.

Unbelievable how much luck some teams seem to get.  If it's not the officials gifting them decisions, it's scoring from ricochets that have no right to go in

I thought refs were cutting out this confrontation and arguing? He's been approached by 3 or 4 Chelsea players every time he's given a decision against them. Terry getting booked for arguing about Gomis being offside when he was about 5 yards on :lmao: w**ker!

Deserved red for Courtois, hopefully the Swans bury this.

      .... and they do!

Swans have deserved to be at least level in this game, they've played really, really well.
