2015-2016 Formation

So he doesn't like the ball to feet or we don't play ball to feet?  I'm confused.

I'm saying it would be good to get the ball into his feet quickly at times and that he is decent with his back to goal. we don't generally play that way, we usually play through the thirds and build attacks.

We know Coutinho has not fared very well when Brendan attempted to put him on the outside...he excels being at the tip of the midfield diamond.

Just think that Coutinho is our best player...and should be the one accommodated to at least for now.

Since when? He's just had his best year for us coming in from the left. When he played in the middle at the start of the season he was at best average.

What about playing Sturridge as an AML in that formation, with Firmino in place of Markovic and Benteke as the Striker ?

Sturridge is not going to happy playing second fiddle to Benteke... or playing out of position to accommodate him

1st game of season away to stoke, we might start like this. And Im considering fitness and sharpness, so guys coming back late like brazil lads etc. I expect to be on bench.

Maybe mate, but he will have only played 1 pre-season game with his team mates.

Firmino and Couts won't play until The Helsinki game either so I doubt missing some preseason games will be a major factor.

Importance of getting 3 pts bearing in mind our difficult start will be paramount.

Still fitness etc. mate. So Im guessing subs for all of them. Come on for 1/2 hr and show us what they got, or indeed win the game.

The team that starts in norway, will be a good indication of what the team -v- stoke will be.

Who needs Sterling? Some heavy competition there. If Balotelli does get swapped for Gomez then we will have the scariest looking strike force in the league since he'd make a very good 3rd centre striker.
