I haven't watched a minute of our pre season and haven't even got to see the goals.

Feels like going a bit old school this summer. ;D

Anyone wanting to go watch the match at Chester tonight, it's free for u21's and £5 for adults.

To add to this game, there's a behind closed doors game against PL opposition planned for next Wednesday.

The midfield and left back position has me worried and I can't say I'm sure about that CB pairing.

Every time I've seen Hendo and Milner so far I've thought it should be either or.

Gomez has done well but at the highest level I'm not so sure a right footed left back with that much inexperience will cut it.

I also don't want Lallana near the first 11 whilst there is that fear that Lovren is going to get found out as soon as he comes up against a half decent strike force. It's worrying that he or anybody else will not have come up against anybody of note before Stoke next week.

Origi over Ings also although either of them aren't starters for me.

I think Skrtel, Clyne and Coutinho will be fine and one of Milner and Hendo - they just don't compliment each other enough for me though. Shame Chirivela isn't a year older as he looks like he could save us a few quid.

It's early days and although we shouldn't take what we see during pre season as gospel I do feel like we haven't seen enough of us getting tested in midfield and defence.

I'm hoping the likes of Firmino and Benteke hit the ground running as I don't us relying heavily on the likes of Lallana and Origi or Ings.

I'm trying to be hopeful and positive but as Stoke gets closer I'm getting that little bit of scepticism creeping in as I look back at some of the mad tactics and poor performances from last season.

I really hope we do Stoke big time for the revenge and the kick start and to also prevent a huge wave of vitriol towards the manager as it's getting fairly obvious that there are a good few who are willing to take positives out of a defeat in the way of jumping on him straight away.

Seems like we're playing West Brom in this game, nice game to make the final touches for the boss before we take on Stoke.

Want sure where to put this so in here it be.

      Conversation at the FA.

"Liverpool's last match of the season was Stoke right?"

      "Yup"

"Make that the first match they have next season"

"Shall we give them the same Ref?"

      "Yeah, F**k em"

      "Anthony Taylor it is then".

Its all about fitness and promoting the club around the world but I think a tour last this season should be every other season. We should do a UK or Swiss alps tour then go to the far depths of the world the season after and do it like that. We need to get to a training camp lock the players away out the media and just train and work drills day in day out for like 2 weeks then have friendlies the week leading upto the start of the season. Have a few closed doors games but mainly work on shape and tactics.
