      2015-2016 Fixtures (And points planned)
      Aug 10, 2015 10:07:49 am

So here it is our full rundown, tough fixtures coming up, but if we manage to get maximum points from our home games, and nick some points from our away fixtures, we will be set in the second half of the season.

The next games are Bournemouth at home, Arsenal away, and West Ham at home.

I'd say that wins against Bournemouth and West Ham coupled with a draw at the Emirates would be more than enough.

I've seen Arsenal against West Ham and they aren't as frightening as they looked in the pre-season, our players can dominate them, especially Benteke against their defenders, he will be a nightmare for them.

Bournemouth looked very dull against Aston Villa and they shouldn't pose a problem, the sight of Anfield alone will make them nervous, a strong start against them would be enough to secure a win in my opinion.

I see the game against West Ham as tough as Arsenal away, they are a quick team, perfect suited for counter-attacking football, with the likes of Zarate, Sakho and Payet upfront, also at set-pieces they are a nightmare to deal with, they have in Ogbonna, Kouyate, Sakho and Tomkins some dangerous players in the air. Bilic seems to have inspired some confidence in their side, and we will find it hard against them, but in my opinion we will win this if we play some quick football upfront, their defenders are powerhouses but they are really slow, and we can profit from this, with Ibe, Coutinho and Firmino who are quick with the ball at their feet and coupled with a high pressing game we will have enough chances to score against them.

West Ham last won here in 1963.

What is there to worry about?

Winning that Stoke game has put us well placed to reach that elusive mini goal of 10 points from every 5 games.

Liverpool should be getting 6 points from their home games this month.

2 points per game average puts us on plus 1, another 3 points next Monday and that's plus 2 meaning we can lose to Arsenal and still be on target.

Not that I'm expecting or wanting us to lose against them but it takes any fear/pressure away from us having to go there and have to win  ;)

after thwarting Stoke yesterday and taking all 3 points who will look forward playing us. To quote a well used phrase "there are no easy games in the EPL" so why are these more important than the next ones. Said before Arsenal would start poorly and they have I said Chelsea were not that special and they were lucky to get a point and utd had one shot on target at home. We need FEAR no-one

Likewise. Well kind of. I said that Wenger hasn't got what it takes to produce another title winning team but others seem to think they are going to be well up there. Obviously a long way to go still but seeing as we are going to go on and get another 37 wins I can't see it likely ;)

Arsenal are always hyped as title contenders when the league starts, almost everytime they finish by battling for the 4th place.

Its a funny run of fixtures for the next 3 months in that the home games are, on paper, pretty easy, while the away games are tough.
Take care of the former, and it'll take some of the pressure off the latter.

October, with 3 tricky aways and only 1 ( also potentially tricky) home could be crucial. Get through that in decent shape and it starts to look promising.

October is a real c**t of a month. Hopefully we are in the top 3 by then and the confidence is flying going into those games.

Fully expect us to beat Bournemouth and WHU at home. Providing we don't lose at Arsenal then that would be a fantastic start. WHU won't be straight forward though, they will be well organise under Bilic.

Fantastic that by mid November we have all of our tricky away games out of the way. If we are still in the mix and I think we will be then top four should be a very realistic achievement.

Imagine if we are in the top 2 by Xmas. You would have to fancy us for the league surely.

If we are in top 4 by xmas, we should go for the title as we'll have all the tough fixtures at Anfield.

The only game that matters is the next one, in our case that's Bournemouth.

Win that, then look ahead to Arsenal.

9 points from Octobers fixtures is a tough ask. Its a do-able task certainly, but it will be tough.

Derbys are unpredictable and I hate to say it but we are actually due a loss...can anybody remember the last time everton beat us :lmao: ? Spurs & Southampton are both very good sides and then we go to the champions.

Ha ha, I'm not. But if we are somehow top of the pack or within range by Xmas then you would have to fancy us. We would have played all the 'big boys' away from home before December! I just hope we can keep with the leaders (or better yet lead ourselves!) until Xmas.

Stay unbeaten for as long as possible... even if thats means they first 4 games end WWDD and not WWWL....

I'll take the 3 wins, winning is a habit, so is settling for draws.

That's just silly though. That point could make all the difference come the end of the season. There's no point being unbeaten if you finish on less points than you would have had you won the extra game and lost an extra game.
