The Next Manager of Liverpool FC?
      Oct 04, 2015 08:43:34 pm
Who do you prefer. The mad German or the gentle Italian? And why?

**Mod Edit: This is a topic for who you think the new manager will be, could be, who you think is suited etc. Not about the sacking of Brendan Rodgers**

      Prefer Klopp.
      Would rather Ancellotti.

Reason being we need to get this one right. We need to win trophies.

      Klopp for my heart
      Ancellotti for my head.

Klopp. Ancelotti wouldn't even be my second choice. Ancelotti is not someone that I want to put in charge of a squad with smaller resources than four other clubs and expect him to win a league with them. His league record is pretty poor considering some of the sides he's been in charge of too. Now, Klopp will have a harder job here than he had at Bayern, but I'd have more confidence in him overcoming financial giants.

       :f_tongueincheek:

Come on guys it's far to soon to be talking about a new manager most people on here are now busy pretending they didn't want Rodgers gone and are trying to shame people who are happy, also people on here slagging our own fans who recently and rightly so have found it increasing hard to show pathological loyalty to a manager we have known for so long wasn't up to the task Liverpool fans are not idiots that's why the crowd has been quiet.

To the OP - could you get a poll up please? Would be interesting to see who is favoured.

      ANCELOTTI  ;D

We can't afford to have young players 'learning' and a manager 'learning' at the same time.

Carlo has been there done it and seen it.

He's won the league and managed and lived in England before.

Football / Sports is so much about momentum. And Klopp had a bad season in his last one.

If he starts off badly people will start to ask questions.

I'm going with the Eyebrow on this one.

Now for Ian Ayre's next trick.

Watch him sabotage one of these deals to ensure his power remains.

The quisling little sh*t he is.

      It's from the Star, but it's a 50/50 bet I guess.

The bookies have Klopp as odds on favourite, and to me he is easily the best candidate.
Ancelloti has done it with big money squads, Klopp has done it on a budget.
Plus he plays more entertaining footy.

What is an accepted code of practice at this stage in the proceedings is whatever JWH & Co decide does seem increasingly at odds with the wishes of the supporters.
Events over five years put plenty of meat on the bones of that assertion, the latest F**k up might just provoke a backlash.

Ancellotti only manages galacticos, not sure how he would fit in given our decent but not amazing squad. Klopp would be brilliant but hr requires fit pressing players which we only have in parts of the squad. We need to get the best out of benteke and tighten up in defence. Mourinho?

Klopp is who I want and to be honest who I think we will get...

De Boer is a good candidate too and apparently NESV like his style... He has guided Ajax to 4 successive league titles - got them back in the CL and won a truck load whilst playing a great attacking brand of football. Yes, the Dutch league is not the best in the world - but he has the pedigree and would command respect.

Still, I would rather have Klopp!

All I can say is I hope Gerrard isn't made the assistant.

After reading his clusterfuck of an autobiography, the man is quite clearly without any marbles with no ability to convey an objective viewpoint.

"But he's passionate!" I hear some say. F**k that, intelligence is what you need as a manager, not passion. And Gerrard doesn't have the intelligence.

Sentimental bullshit will only see this club decline further.

Why even go towards that? He's not long started out in the MLS and seems more than happy there, hasn't got his coaching badges and I very much doubt he'd have any plans to suddenly become assistant. Come on lad.

Personally I'd prefer Ancelotti, certainly wouldn't complain if it goes to Klopp but feel De Boer would just be a sideways step.

Jürgen Klopp is the leading candidate to be named as Liverpool’s new manager. #lfc (James Pearce)

Ok now I'm getting slightly excited.

      "I have a dream!"

      We get Klopp
      We get Reus
      We get Draxler
      We win the CL

Might not be Martin Luther King but then again I'm not black so it's not exactly equal terms ;D

Well stupid wankers like Henry Winter are starting to pursue this idea of ex-players coming in and coaching.

Klopp for me. Wanted Klopp after Kenny and still want Klopp now. Ancelotti is a class manager, but with a bad back and limited resources, how good would it be for him to come here? Plus, I mentioned before our failings with Italians at Anfield

Really, though, you can't go wrong with either. Top quality, the both of them.

It's the media, just take everything they say with a pinch of salt. Some stuff they say is believable but Gerrard coming in to be assistant certainly isn't even worth the time reading because it simply wont be the case.
