Exited doesn't cover it, I can't wait to see what he can do for the club. Good times ahead of us, I believe.

I think Sven Bender will be Klopps first signing in January.

Very similar player to Lucas but more mobile with better vision. He's lost his place in the Dortmund team so we could get him relatively cheap. Very good experienced player.

For all we know the transfer committee already has the next Southampton player lined up to bring in.

All of the Southampton players were one's Brendan wanted.

No one knows that with any certainty, it's just rumoured and I don't remember too many people being unhappy when we signed Lallana or thinking that Lambert for £4 mill was a bad deal. The point is there is no clear accountability and, again rumoured, there is disagreement amongst the different camps. A Sporting Director will bring clarity to the situation by being the head of the recruitment team. You'll still have statistical and video analysis, you'll still have scouts but he'll be the one in charge so the buck will stop with him when it comes to purchases. It was the original model preferred by FSG prior to Brendan, I see no reason not to return to it now he's gone.

I think we can put the pieces together mate.

I agree on the actually two players you mentioned though and I'm not saying he was wrong to buy them but they weren't 'committee' players.

Fully agree on a DoF and I'm one who has been a supported of that system on here for years.

In all seriousness though Lallana and Clyne should fit the Klopp model in theory.

I have no worries about Clyne, not as sure about Lallana especially if Firmino starts to turn it on.

It doesn't matter about putting pieces together, what matters is clarity and accountability, something sorely lacking at the club since Comolli went.

This is something we've spoken at length about, and now is the time to make the change, if they're going to.

For some reason, I'm nervous about Klopp coming in.
I mean, I think he'll do well, but the media shitstorm after the first time he shreds one of them is going to be awful.
You know the drill, they'll be making sh*t up, twisting things, printing every and any rumour going.

Personally, I think he has to mark their cards from the word go.
No F***ing about, do a ferguson on the media gobshites who love to stir sh*t up, ban them, whatever it takes to get the message across.

Football wise, I'm not sure how quickly he can turn things around.
The only real expectation I have is for us to show signs we are getting to where he wants us, although obviously I'd love a cup and top 4.

Whatever happens, I think it will be entertaining.
I love crazy bas**rds, and he seems to fit that description pretty well.

He likes to play a high line and get the ball back in the opposition half so I can these lads needing some early nights and plenty of sleep over the coming months.

Again I agree mate but we need more than 11 players.

Lallana presses very well and has great technique so he will be of use to Klopp at least on the short term.

I cant remember the anecdotes but Shankly was ahuge fan of being extremely fit you know he would have been so at home in this generation.

I thought you were an optimist ?. Top four would be a great start but I have feelings I havent had for an age about this lad even more than when Rafa came. If we can getAnfield buzzing again anything is possible

Used to "weigh" their shirts as they came off the field to see which was heaviest in sweat :)

Yeah, but I was hoping he might be more than "just" a squad player. Still might I know.
