      OK.

      I have a dream.

      Its May 7th 2016 Anfield.

We are beating Watford  3-0  and are already four points ahead of City at the top of the Premiership.

We are on the way to the title.

5 minutes to go and Jürgen makes a sub.
Sitting behind the dug out is someone we all know.
Someone who LFC had re registered with the FA in January.

The player rises and off comes his trackie.
      The linesman raises his board.

He runs on the the field with a wall of noise and a knowing, smiling manager looking on.

He makes a couple of touches
      The final whistle blows.
He slumps to his knees. Hands covering his face.
The rest of the players surround him.

He rises and walks over to the table where the Premier League trophy stands.
      Its passed over to him.
      He turns.

      He faces the Kop.

He raises the trophy above his head to a wall of deafening noise.

      Steven George Gerrard   MBE.

      He now has them all.

On the touchline a tall bearded gentleman grins from ear to ear.

Liverpool 4 is an emotional wave.

I'm agreeing with that. Klopp is accepting essentially the same arrangement as BR.
( Although it might be that he has 1 or 2 of his people coming in to go on the committee, which would help him. Dont know if this is the case or not though?)

Like I say Jürgen is accepting the owners promise that he will have the final say. But he doesnt know for sure that that will be kept.

The truth in these situations is that a lot will depend on how strong his hand is going in to each transfer window. If the team is doing well, he can threaten to walk and probably bulldoze the committee if needs be. If its not, he probably cant. (I doubt that Brendan did much bulldozing this summer.)

Fortunately we are going to be top of the league going into the next few windows.  ;D

There's a lot of negotiating between people in these type of meetings.
When you have a finite amount of money, and there are lists of players, no doubt a bit of horse trading goes on, and it's in this scenario that I think Klopp will get his way, whereas BR seemingly said "OK, I'll agree to your player, if you agree to mine" which kind of undermines the whole process.

The analyst he's bringing with him is the opposition analyst as far as I know, so along with his assistant coach, neither will be sitting on the "committee", but Klopp strikes me as a very forceful character who will insist on doing things his own way.
In his agents words, he doesn't get involved much with transfers, but I suspect that will change at least in part.

The next few windows will make things a lot clearer, but really, I think people have got their arses in an uproar over sod all with this.
The club works (or should do) as a collective, and I think that Klopp will be very comfortable with that, but also he won't be averse to giving someone a bollocking if he thinks it's needed, and that includes Board members and the CEO.

Very, very excited bunny here. Let's make sure we give him the funds he needs to build us up again.

Fair play to those involved in making sure we captured him as manager. And a thankyou to Didi, you know he said the right things when he got the call from Klopp

Dont mean to be acting like a MOD but lads give it a rest or at least take it to the committee thread. Everyone should be happy today so shut the f**k up :)

I agree, in fact I'd go so far as to suggest to the mods (wink, wink) that if people want to start having a go at each other again, maybe they need a vacation for awhile so as not to spoil the good vibes of the rest of us.

      Disagree.

If he finishes fourth this season, second the following season, then second again with a Champions League final you think he would get sacked?

      No chance.

Rodgers was sacked because the team were going backwards despite £200M spent since Suarez left 16 months ago.
