Pre Match: Liverpool v Swansea Sun 29th Nov 16:15 Kick Off
      Nov 27, 2015 02:53:20 pm
We host Swansea on Sunday on the back of our 2-1 home win against Bordeaux on Thursday.

After Klopp's press conference it's pretty likely Sturridge will once again miss out, and that Hendo could play some part in the game.

I'm pretty sure Skrtel, Can, Coutinho and Lallana will come back for this one. Replacing Toure, Allen, Ibe and Benteke respectively.

Although Firmino didn't have the best game last night, I think it would be a shame to break up the combination of Coutinho-Lallana-Firmino. Benteke is a great option off the bench and should play at some point on Sunday.

Lucas is suspended after picking up his 5th booking of the season against Man City.

I would go with this side, either in a 4-3-2-1, 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 formation:

      Mignolet

      Clyne
      Skrtel
      Lovren
      Moreno

      Milner (c)
      Allen
      Emre Can

      Coutinho
      Lallana

      Firmino

Subs: Bogdan; Randall, Toure; Henderson; Ibe, Teixeira; Benteke

Hendo on for Allen towards the end, be great to see him back.

      The Opposition:

Swansea are currently sitting 14th in the table and pressure is mounting on manager Gary Monk.

They are likely to line up with a 4-2-3-1 formation, this is the line up from their 2-2 at home to Bournemouth last weekend:

      Fabianski

      Naughton
      Bartley
      Williams (c)
      Taylor

      Britton
      Ki

      Routledge
      Shelvey
      Ayew

      Eder

Subs: Tremmel; Rangel, Fernandez; Cork; Montero, Sigurdsson; Gomis.

As you can see, they do have options and I'm sure Monk will make a few changes, Sigurdsson and Gomis are big threats, and Shelvey always seems to have a crazy game against us.

Overall I think we have more than enough to beat them at home, we have options on the bench and the lads will be up for it after our 4-1 hammering of Man City last time out.

2-0 to us, Lallana and Benteke with the goals.

      * Depending on how the teams around us do, a win for us could lift us up to 6th place, just 3 points of 3rd.

      YNWA!!

Klopp said in his presser that he is not sure if Benteke can play 2 games in 3 days yet so I magine it will be the same front 3 as against City assuming Coutinho is fit otherwise I imagine Ibe might get the nod.
With Lucas banned the rest of the team pick itself. Would like to see Tex get a game but I imagine it will be Can, Allen and Milner in midfield.

Great option to have Benteke come off the bench for the last 20 if goals are needed but hopefully its put to bed before then.

Haven't watched Swansea this season tbh, but Monk's team don't generally park the bus, right? Should be an open expansive game if this is the case, so perhaps it would be the better option to play a more fluid front 3.

I think because of Swansea's tendency to attack and not sit back to park the bus, this game could really suit us. I'm still not convinced of Benteke's use to this system so I'd go with Bobby up top again. In fact, I'd play the same XI as against City with Allen in for the suspended Lucas. Ibe played well on Thursday evening so he puts himself into contention to take Milner's spot as well.

      Couts Lallana and Firmino .

      Tex is worth throwing in.

Swansea are rocking at the mo. Three points are there for the taking.
These are the games we now consistently have to pick up points in.

Jonjo always plays against us with respect and with an added buzz as if he has a point to prove .

He was one I was sorry to see go I must admit.

I believe Jonjo is suspended which is a bonus as you rightly point out he does play well against us.

I would go with the team that started at Citeh, assuming Sturridge is not fit  :lmao:

High pressing and quick attackers is probably the best way to play against Swansea. Benteke to come on second half once we are a few goals up.

Think we will win this 3-1 (damn Mignolet! :) )

I'd be more confident if we were away!

I agree with the City team as along as everyone is fit, and as Walt has said, 3 pts is the goal.

We must remember that this is Klopp's first season, and he hasn't even had a pre-season to get his style of play sorted in the players minds.

      Again, this may be ugly.

My biggest fear for these kinds of games is conceding a silly goal. For the most part most of the goals we have conceded this season have been due to mistakes. The ones that come to mind are; the Norwich corner, both of palaces goals, the bordeaux free kick, the west ham debacle, southampton corner, and the carlisle goal. If you erase all those goals that came down to just us being clumsy we would be in a better position in the table. We outplayed our opponent in every game bar United. We just cant lose concentration. Swansea are beatable, they aren't the swansea side of a couple seasons back. I'd like to see Clyne get a rest of this if possible. With the run of games coming its vital to keep him healthy. Hopefully Hendo can make a cameo. As for the rest of the squad i can only see Coutinho and Can in for Ibe and Allen.

Lucas out is a blow. Swansea dont sit back though, so would expect us to pickup 3 points.

Hoping for the home performance we are all dying to see and as long as Swansea don't park the bus and try hit us on the counter then I think we might see it. 3 points are a must, put pressure on the teams around us. Hoping Benteke can come off the bench and get a goal or 2 if needed,or even add to our lead ,I've been really impressed with him lately so hoping he continues if he gets time to. Also hoping Henderson plays some part even just 10-15 minutes as we'll need him fit and ready to go as we head into the busy Christmas period.

      Mignolet; Clyne,Skrtel,Lovren,Moreno; Milner,Can,Allen; Coutinho,Lallana; Benteke

That's the team I'd play. Have Ibe come off the bench for the last 20 minutes and run at their tiring defence after we've ran them ragged for the entire game ;)

Might be tempting to stick with the front 3 that did so well against City, but I think that front line is probably more suited to away games where theres more space behind the defence.

For this one, I'd go -

                    Mignolet

      Clyne  Skrtel  Lovren   Moreno

                 Milner  Can

      Lallana   Firmino     Coutinho

                    Benteke
