Leicester City 2-0 Liverpool: In game and Post match debate

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Lucas, Lallana, Milner, Firmino.

Subs: Ward, Toure, Benteke, Allen, Ibe, Flanagan, Teixeira.

 Liverpool have made eight changes to their starting line-up for this evening’s Barclays Premier League clash with Leicester City.

Only Simon Mignolet, Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren retain their places from Saturday’s FA Cup tie with West Ham United against the table-toppers at the King Power Stadium.

Again zero pace and creativity F**k me I'm just not a fan of this midfield and front line.

Thinking the same there. But hopefully swarming the midfield will give us the possession and somehow.. we will score. 

I feel Can and Hendo will need to be on top of their game tonight, they will need to do a lot of tracking back and covering.

No Allen and Brannagan missing out on the bench is a tad disappointing.

But enough there to put in a performance capable of winning. Get it F***ing done please.

How Joe Allen isn't starting I don't know. The midfield better give a performance to show they deserved selection ahead of him

I think Allen on the bench is harsh, especially considering his run of good form, Henderson's injury and Can's bad form. Emre must be Jürgen's love child

This is the selection I expected given the options available and the need for proper fatigue management.

I don't really see us overwhelming LCFC with the quality and pace on display but then miracles happen and I believe in miracles.🙂

Dont like Henderson being wide got to be the furthest forward of the middle 3. Can should go wide played RB for Germany and say what you want he can go past people

I actually think both Lallana and Allen play they're best football when either coming off the bench or playing only one half.

Put the two of them together into one body and there would be a hellavu player there.

Allen should be starting and Brannagan should be on the bench. He has shown a lot more in previous games to be ahead of Teixera IMO. Nevertheless I feel this team should just get the win tonight. 2:1 to us Firmino and Henderson

This is the team he has been sticking to bar injuries , not a fan of the midfield but hey ho on the field they go .

Christ almighty, the first thing I read when I see this thread is posts like, "why isn't X starting?!", "there's no creativity!", "why is X missing out completely?!".

Fucks sake people, can we just support the team that has been put out instead of incessantly whining? That can be saved for later IF we drop points.

Think the team is near right, I'd personally be starting both Smith and Allen over Moreno and Can but it's clear now that Can is part of Jürgen's longer term plan in my opinion.

The faith he's getting shown is beyond just normal backing I think he's being given supreme confidence by Jürgen and it's time he started repaying some of that.

Ibe most certainly didn't deserve to start, even though I don't think Lallana has been much better he's probably the right choice. Personally I might have started Tex in place of Can too but I can certainly understand the logic behind not, they're a pretty strong side and Can does offer that physical presence he just needs to apply it more.

Be a huge win if we can come away with the points, really looking forward to the game and I hope the lads do us proud.

They had the weekend off so I'm assuming he's making full use of the 'squad' now.

Players who are now back to playing once a week have no excuses to hide behind.
