Strongest team possible. Sunderland gave city a good go in their last game and will be no push overs.

I would like to think Klopp will change it up a little from the last team. Younger lads deserve a chance here.

Play the cup team, can't be worse than our "main"  team. Badly need a decisive win here.

Really no excuse to not get 3 points here. Sunderland are a mess and we're at Anfield.

Sunderland are a mess? sh*t I haven't watched them all season but just saw their highlights from last weeks game against City, they could have easily put 6 past them if it wasn't for Joe Hart making some brilliant saves and some of their shots just being off target.

I'm not taking any team as a walkover any more especially against us and when we are at home!

Depressed much? Yep I sure F***ing am.

      Which Cup Team though mate?

We've had our "main" team get us to a final in one competition and the other is still struggling to get past the 4th round.

Just play the "best" team available to win the damn game.

He can't afford to, he's got to get these lads performing to the best of their ability somehow. Another failure to win will be more erosion of confidence.

This is the day when things "click" and we get our act together, it's got to be. I'm in abject not giving a sh*t mode after some of our recent performances and I don't like it at all. I want to be able to look forward to games  with some level of expectation about the consistency of the performance I'll see.
The only consistent thing I can rely on happening usually is that there will be some weird flapping at the back when simple lobbed ball comes in.
Them goals have got to start flowing in time for cups games. Wonder who will step up, I'd give young Ojo a go, a major change or two needs to be made because we're stagnating with players breezing into the team each week after doing zilch to earn that spot.

Hopefully this is the last game of mediocrity. Coutinho, Sturridge, Origi back next week should see a bit more life on the pitch.
Henderson and Can should be dropped after a couple of poor performances.

Unfortunately Ibe has shown this season that he doesn't concentrate enough to play RWB. The defensive side to his game has declined quite considerably.

Tempted to try it with Ojo, but thought Ibe deserved another shot.

I can't believe we are actually kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday. It's so rare these days.

      Against modern football!

Anyway, all the best to the boss today and let's hope the lads step up and win for him.

Stayed away from this thread as I'm still pretty pissed with the mid-week performance. I really hope we get the win today, we need it bad!

I don't mean play an entire team of youth. I'm meaning lets give young Cam Brannagan a start or maybe Smith.

No easy games in this league, however, we should still have enough to beat Fat Sam's black cats,
      I'd give this a go.........

                           Mignolet
          Flanno.  Lovren Sakho.  Smith
                              Lucas
                  Milner.             Allen
                              Texiera
                      Ibe.               Firmino

      Bench ;
      Ward, Clyne, Caulker, Can,Hendo,Benteke, Branagan
