That'd be right...didn't they win their last game 3-0? Found some form just in time to face us and we know what we are like when we face teams facing relegation. It's like we like giving them free points in their aid to stay up!

Come on lads, don't F**k this up please!

      Mig,

      Clyne, Sakho, Toure, Smith,
      Stewart, Henderson,
      Coutinho, Firmino,
      Sturridge, Benteke

      4,1,3,2 for me.

Stewart holding with Henderson, Coutinho and Firmino interchanging behind the front 2.

Reminds me of Kenny´s "cup season", lack of motivation and commitment in the league games is more evident with every passing game. Players must be thinking about Augsburg already so dont expect a full-blooded show at Villa.
Keep the key players fresh for the EL - Flano, Lucas, Smith, Stewart and Sturridge must be rested on Sunday.

      I'd like to see:

      Ward
      Flanagan
      Ilori
      Lucas
      Smith

      Milner
      Stewart
      Coutinho

      Firmino
      Benteke
      Sturridge

Given that we're absolutely no where in the league this year and the opposition we're facing on the day, we have a chance to test some of the kids in the league, evaluate Ward as a possible number one ahead of the Summer, and rest players like Henderson who is clearly struggling with his heal, and Sakho who is struggling to regain form, as well as give Benteke one final throw of the dice being partnered with two more attacking players either side of him. I won't be holding my breath though.

I can't see many if any of those who played 120mins on Tuesday starting.

No idea why so many people want Milner and Henderson in the same team. Two players doing the same thing and we complain about a lack of creativity!

I've no idea why so many want Coutinho up front. He's not a forward, he's a midfielder. He (or Lallana, but never both at the same time) should be the one in there that all the creativity comes from. He doesn't have the pace or a striker's instinct to play as one.

Yeah, the only reason to put them in the midfield is if we had a DLPM, but we don't :(

Still finding it a little hard to feel some enthusiasm for this game. Another game we should win comfortably, but I am sure we will find some way to make it difficult for ourselves.

I would rest Sturridge and most of the players who played against West Ham, not only because they will be knackered but they are probably feeling almost as shell shocked as we are after that late F***ing goal.

I think the Europa game has to take precedence over the league now and we should have more than enough playing the squad players against Villa (touch wood).

      Onwards and upwards I suppose....

~if we concede any more soft goals I can see Jürgen sprinting on to the pitch and dragging the defender off. Got to be a Benteke hatrick for this one surely

Not really worth it Bri, at oddschecker, first goalscorer:

Christian Benteke   ranges from 3.5/1 to 4.5/1

Any time goalscorer is basically evens.

      Cheeky bas**rds, don't they know it's Benteke?

      ;D
No way! Ok hat trick it is so 👍😊
