Johnson Paint Trophy Final

Well it's been over 100 years since Barnsley last got to Final and today they take on the mighty Oxford from League 2.

Ex Liverpool Youth player Adam Hammill starts for Barnsley and has done well in his 2nd spell at the Club.  Barnsley as usual had a bad start to the season but have had a good run of games in recent months which has seem them challenging for a play off place.

After losing their manager a few weeks ago to Bristol City, they've continued that good form with local lad Paul Heckingbottom stepping up as Caretaker till the end of the season.

Looking forward to this and I hope my Paul will be a happy lad at the end of it.

He's done well at this level mate. 

Became a bit of a dickhead a few years ago and after being released by Wolves, who had triggered his release clause with the Tykes when they were still in the PL, he floated around the lower leagues until being released by Huddersfield last summer. 

He came back on an emergency short term loan in November last year and then signed till the end of the season.  League 1 is probably as high as he'll achieve but at least he's playing again.
