      Pre match : Liverpool v Dortmund 14th April 2nd leg (1-1)

Fantastic performance from the lads to get a scoring draw away at Dortmund and it is going to take the same sort of Herculean effort to get through as I still think they are slight favourites.

Most of the team picks itself, Allen deserves to start in place of Henderson so its down to Origi or Sturridge up front and based on the fact that Origi is not only in form but more importantly can effectively press from the front and would leave Sturridge on the bench until he is needed.

I cant seeing this being 0-0 as it was just amazing defence by Lovren and Sakho which kept out two goal bound shots last week.

      2-1 to the Red Men

      Migs
      Clyne
      Lovren
      Sakho
      Moreno

      Can
      Milner
      Allen

      Lallana
      Coutinho
      Origi

Think sturridge will start this one with Origi. But who drops out, that is the question. Firmino is still finding fitness after his injury, so fancy him to be benched, Coutinho must start after getting a rest, Lallana will probably start too.

All very interesting and Big decision's for Klopp to make.

                        Strridge
            Origi                    Coutinho
                  Allen  Milner   Can
         Moreno Sakho Lovern Clynne
                         Milner

Subs: Ward, Firmino, Ojo, Lucas, Toure, Smith.

Firmino on the bench because if Sturridge or Milner are playing bad Firmino can replace either.

I'm not sure Ojo gets on the bench for this one. He will no doubt play for the under-21's on the same night.

Surely this game takes precedence over U21's or is he obligated to play for U21's? I'd drop Lallana for this game, he is way to light weight.

I'm not Lallana's biggest fan but for a game like this his pressing from the front will be vital to deny Dortmund space and time to get the ball to their danger players.

This is not the game for a inexperienced 18 year old to start, a bench option maybe.

      ok. maybe this team ?

      --------------- Mings ----------------
      - Clyne - Lovren - Sahko - Moreno -
      -------------- Can --------------------
      -- Milner ---- allen ---- Lallana --
      ------------ Coutinho-----------------
      ---------------- Sturridge ------------

Firmino & Origi from the bench after 70 mins, or later depending on the way the game is going, could go to extra time remember, bringing a fresh Firmino & Origi on could be the difference.

It shouldn't even be up for discussion... Sturridge starts.

Origi just showed Klopp he can make an impact off the bench.

Sturridge was awesome against Stoke. You don't bench your best striker for a game at home against the Europa favourites.

Wouldn't go that far about Sturridge, Origi had the bigger impact when he came on at half-time for Ojo, I'd personally go with Origi from the start.

      And start Bobby Firmino too!

Yet we did exactly that last Thursday.

I've no idea how we're likely to line up but as Jürgen has said previously, he picks the best 11 to win the game and that doesn't necessarily mean the best 11 players.

We don't need to score to go through but they do, so stopping them from scoring by keeping it tight, not allowing them the space and time they need to launch attacks has to be priority, at least for the first hour or so.

To help us do that we need an outlet up top that can keep hold of the ball when we're under pressure, Daniel doesn't do that, Origi does.  We need someone to pressure them at the back, to hassle and harry them into mistakes, Daniel doesn't do that, Origi does.

Origi won't have any pressure on him to score but he's more than capable if the opportunity arises.  I'd rather he start with that in mind than ask him to come on later and have to score.

It's a tough one for sure and naturally opinions will be divided.  Who the hell knows for sure though as Jürgen could surprise all of us and not use a striker at all  :D

Think we'll have to score twice to go through. They really have nothing to lose and it's their last chance for silverware this season after their stumble on Sunday.

They rested all their key players for this so they'll be up for it as much as we are. We need Anfield rocking and everyone on their toes.

Keep things tight for the first 20 minutes and try to control things. They'll come out firing for this one.

Only guarantee is it's going to be a special night. Other than that, it could go either way. Not nervous (yet) but very excited.

They will come at us and (imo) that can only suit us. We have shown that when we drop and defend deep, Dortmund have problems breaking us down.

I can see no reasons as to why we can't do them.

I think rather than try to keep things tight, we should go at them from the first minute. Get the crowd going get them on the back foot and hopefully get the goal or two that puts us through. If we are going to concede I would rather we concede early when we have time to recover, rather than late on when the only thing we have time for is to panic.

We have all seen many times how hard it is for a team that starts slowly to change gears when things go wrong. So start in top gear go for their throat and tear the game away from them. Why give them time to get settled and accustomed to the noise... surely that is what ALL away sides want 20mins to settle and quiet the crowd.

Don't give them that , put them on the back foot , put them under pressure and hope they crack. I remember when we played Juventus back in 2004/5 ,we hit them with 20 mins of full throttle football and the game was won before Juventus even knew it had started.

                                             Mignolet

                Clyne           Lovren           Sakho          Moreno

                                 Allen      Can      Milner

                           Lallana                  Coutinho

                                        Sturridge

Gone for Sturridge but could just as easily have been Origi. Bobby has been off the pace since he's been injured, so going for Lallana to start.
