Semi Final draw - Reds get Villarreal

Draw away win 7-6 at home ... perfect.

Villareal is 4 in spanish league atm...soldado is in that team.

Home in the second leg was the main thing, all three teams are good sides so we'll have to be at our best but coming back to Anfield for the second leg is massive.

Can't complain about that draw I'd prefer to be home firts but eh

After last night I'd have taken on Villarreal, Shaktar and Seville all at once - as long as it was all at Anfield. 

We need to make this count now. We are 3 games away from a trophy and a CL place, use the squad for the rest of the season and concentrate on this I say.

I think probably the best draw, Sevilla have the knowledge on how to win this. Shahktar are always a bit of an unknown because I never see them for months at a time, but seem to be permanently pretty decent. Must be a reason everyone is always spending big on their players.

Villarreal are going better than Sevilla in their league but I think I'm giving a lot of credit to Sevilla for knowing how to win this.

All ties could have been tricky. But I'm probably happiest with this one, especially the second leg at home.

away isn't our problem Anfield has been hit and miss until last night so lets make it another night to remember.

Think it's the best draw we could have had to be fair.  Avoiding the trip to Ukraine was key.

All tough draws at this stage but that's probably the one we wanted. Villarreal have a tight defence in La Liga (26 conceded) but only scored 41 in 32 games. Away goals crucial here.

I would not count my chicken yet. Villarreal are a very good team.

Unlike Dortmund (who probably thought they could outscore anyone), Villarreal are/will be much tighter at the back. We will probably looking at 2-1/1-0 kind of score. They are not as good going forward as Dortmund but they are very very good defensively.

But, I BELIEVE in the Klopparmy.

The only team I didn't want was Sevilla so I'm happy with that draw. Obviously no team no holds fears for us but we simply mustn't have left our final in the last game. Confident against them though, bring it on!

Beaten Real and Atletico, drawn against Barca.  Doing a lot better in La Liga than the ham-fisted job we're making of the Premier League.

Also their third attempt at getting to the Europa League final and you know how many times it takes you to get lucky.

Will not be remotely easy.

Didn't really care who we got at this point, given we beat, in my opinion, the best team in the competition. I think we could beat any of the remaining teams. It was all about having the away leg first. Which we got. So I'm pretty chuffed with this tie.

Villareal it is then. A tough nut to crack to say the least. Always been such a strong side in European knockout rounds. I remember Reina's heroics against Celtic back in 2004. I remember Arsenal getting through by the skin of their teeth in the semi finals of the Champions League 10 years ago. Different squad of course but same club - the Yellow Submarine always means business. Been in turmoil 5 years ago when they got relegated from La Liga but they are back. Going good guns in the league, good guns in Europe. As JD said - it's not going to be easy. We must make sure that we rely on the qualities that saw us dump Man Utd out and snatch it from Dortmund. Let's make this tie magic!

Sevilla and Shakhtar.

Would have been good to have a potential final between 2 original Europa League teams. I've always disliked the idea of teams being rewarded for failure in one competition with a place in another.
