      This is a disaster.

And it's really a MINIMUM of two months.  It's not like when he comes back Klopp is going to just drip Mignolet.  He'll have to somehow prove himself in cup games etc before that even crosses Klopp's mind.

      Not a good situation.

So now in defence we have the inept Mignolet, the feckless Moreno, the inconsistent Lovren, a drugged up Sakho, an injured Matip and a 30 year old we signed on a free.

That is all we need Karius out for 2 months,I was looking forward to this lad tightening up our defence. With a bit of luck Mignolet will take the chance to make the position his own and show consistency. Have we sent Danny Ward out on loan too quickly?

I understand those who thought Karius was better than Migs losing their sh*t but when those who've criticised JĆ¼rgen for bringing in an inexperienced keeper that will take years to develop lose theirs too they really are wums!!

I blame FSG..if they would stop F***ing around with cheap signings we probably could have gotten a goalkeeper with stronger bones.  ;)

And this post was designed to do what exactly; not  wind people up?  :lmao:

Is Platinum stronger than bone; maybe we should have signed a "Platinum" 'keeper?   :P

Joking aside and back on topic: sad news alright - Loris was shaping up really well.

It's pretty sh*t but as much as we all like to hate on Migs, he's a back up keeper now and he must be up there with Begovic as one of the best back ups in the league.

The article is a few days old, but we could be getting him back ahead of schedule!

Loris Karius making good progress as Liverpool keeper eyes September return

German shot-stopper's broken hand is healing well after pre-season setback

Liverpool keeper Loris Karius is making good progress as he looks to return from injury ahead of schedule.

The German shot-stopper suffered a broken bone in his right hand during the Redsā€™ friendly against Chelsea in America three weeks ago.

Karius, who underwent surgery, was initially ruled out for eight to 10 weeks but medical staff are delighted with how itā€™s healing.

The Ā£4.7million summer signing from Mainz has been able to maintain his fitness levels during his absence and has been working outside at Melwood this week on his kicking.

In a fortnight heā€™s scheduled to have the wire removed from his right hand and then he will be able to start catching and shot stopping again.

If everything goes to plan then Karius should be available for selection again shortly after the international break in mid-September.

Simon Mignolet faces a fight to maintain his status as Liverpool No 1 this season following the arrival of Karius. However, the Belgium international made a positive start to the season last weekend as he saved Theo Walcottā€™s penalty in the Redsā€™ 4-3 win over Arsenal.

Really looking forward to having this lad back!
