If you've go a list of players in the queue then it'll pick those for you in that order if you're not online. If you don't have anybody in your queue pile then it'll pick anybody.

If you do not select a player within the allotted time, the draft automatically selects the player at the top of your Player Queue. If you do not have players in your Player Queue, the draft automatically selects the best available player allowed by your roster. The draft will not select a seventh forward even if that is the best player because you can only draft six forwards.

Can't make the draft? Set a queue to have the best results! Before the draft begins, you can create a personal short list of players to target. If you can't draft in person, the draft will use your list to ensure you get as many of your favorite players as possible.

The Queue also helps you track players during the draft, is the default pick made by your team if you fail to select a valid pick in the time allotted and ensures the draft remains on schedule. There is no limit to the number of players who can be added to your Queue, but the players should be ordered from top to bottom in order you value them. Players listed in the Player Queue will automatically draft if you're on Auto Pick.

Fair point I confirmed my team at 11:00 which was very near the time that the site crashed so I got lucky.
