Pre Season Predictions: Where will Liverpool finish in 2016-17?

I think we will finish 5th this season. Still time to go in the transfer window fab quality left back and perhaps one more player to push my opinion up to top 4.

A more realistic 5th or 6th for me. Were not going to improve enough to go from 8th to first add in that Utd and Chelsea will be better this season plus city and Arsenal and spurs it's going to be tough

I would say Top 4. Im really not worried bout our top 4/5 rivals coz we often get points off them. Its the consistent wins against the other 14 teams that i wanna see this campaign. Do that and Top 4 is certain.

We normally finish 6th/7th but under klopp this season I think if we can beat the lower teams top 4 is a big chance, I'm excited about this season, every team in the league are gunna be stronger then ever! Bring it on #lfc

8/1 William Hill have us to win it.. Dunno whether that's a good sign or what..

Those first three/four games will be crucial if we are going to make any headway towards this elusive trophy..

A couple of smash and grabs in London and back up the M6 before August is out and i'll be made up..
Don't wanna be pissing about mid table come our first home game against the reigning champions.

We need to be up there with the pack hunting points down home and away week in week out..
and if one man is going to help us do that it's Jürgen..

Stay injury free, no swearing at the ref,wear the high viz third kit more often and who knows..

7th or lower if we don't buy a Left Back, because Moreno will simply cost us too many points. 6th if we buy a quality replacement, and if we do, I think we'll finish above Saints and West Ham but we'll see a resurgent Chelsea this season and we simply haven't bought near good enough to catch the rest, nevermind overtake them. In no particular order, top five will be Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Spurs and City, with us bringing up the rear in sixth place.

Every new season we need to believe that we will win the league. That is the only winning philosophy, if we fell short, hard luck. At the same time, we need to be realistic.

I know this is contradictory but I going for 5th-6th. However, we need to go into every game with winning mentality.

It's the Middlesborough's and the Burnley's at home we need to be certain about this time round

Well you had a pretty good prediction rate last season if memory serves me right...

Without Europe we should have no excuses for challenging. That said we still need work to do this summer. Are Mario and Christian going to be made redundant? Are Milly and Moreno our only LB options (or is space being saved for Gomez?). We need of take into account the opposition. Hate to say it but United have spent best part of 200MM, City must be favourites, Chelsea can't be as calamatous  as last season, Spurs have a young squad with more experience, Arsenal have a DM (but still no worldie striker ) and Leicester are reigning champs (bar Kante) after walking it last season. It's going to be tough. We have pace with Mane and Origi which gives me confidence but we need a strong start and not be chasing the whole season or will be a dejavu.  I'm going for 3rd.

We are just not talented enough to go for the PL title, Leicester was not either, but those things don't happen twice in a row. I'd be happy if we can make 5th place. I think 5-8th place are realistic. Klopp would need Suarez plus another star player in midfield/defense to attack methodically for a title. I wonder if Jürgen will try it in the season 2017/2018 (if not one or two of our players develop into such a role). I know from his german days that he never touched real superstars and I wonder if it was because he couldn't afford them or if he can't get along with them.

p.s. One of the two national cup's could be ours. 5th and FA cup winner and I'd take it right now^^.

Given that any higher than 3rd is 2nd or 1st, you'd be right

I can't pick a standout and i think you can put a line through Leicester, Spurs and United.

Leaves four clubs in with a shout and i think we look better than Arsenal. So by process of elimination, i reckon we will go top 3 and it'll come down to the business end and who can hold their nerve to see it out on the final weekend.

I think your good for top 4 this year.
