 Philippe Coutinho starts and Joel Matip makes his Premier League debut for Liverpool in this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Coutinho missed the midweek victory over Burton Albion with a knock, but has been passed fit to begin at White Hart Lane alongside Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in attack.

Meanwhile, Matip is handed his first league appearance for the Reds next to Dejan Lovren in the centre of defence.

Henderson and Wijnaldum again in midfield? 

No Sturridge again but Bobby starts? We must be completely disregarding the Burnley debacle, I thought Firmino was awful there.

Disillusioned me ain't happy with that but we will see.

TheleftpegofRayKennedy made a good point about playing Moreno and forcing the Spurs full backs into defending more often than attacking. I think we should have started him, same with either Origi or Sturridge, and Hendo in the deeper role again?

But then again, we don't really struggle vs strong opposition, so maybe it'll work out just fine!

We need to dominate the midfield if we want to have a chance winning the match. Jordan and Gigi needs to step up their game.

Don't understand it mate. Firmino ahead of Sturridge again. Sturridge must really wonder what he is supposed to do.

He comes on, scores 2 goals... back on the bench.

Klopp likes playing Firmino, Coutinho and another attacking midfielder against the big boys doesn't he? I think it's because a front three of Firmino, Coutinho and Mane, in this case, are the best options for the pressing game. Sturridge just doesn't have that in his locker like the other three, particularly Mane and Firmino, do.

What the F**k?! Firmino has done nothing to warrant this start.

We'll get to see what the front 3 at Burnley were meant to be now. I suspect they'll be very good indeed, less convinced about our CM and LB though I must admit.

Hendo starting is a huge negative and personally, as unfashionable as it is, I'd start Moreno. Pleased Matip has come in, think we need some aerial strength against this Spurs side who are a real threat in the air.

I'm confident we can win but I am really underwhelmed by the trio of Henderson/Wijnaldum/Lallana. They need to all step up massively here and prove why they're in the team.

Come on Redmen, let's smash them!

I'm not on Klopp's wavelength at the moment re team selection.  Can't see what he's doing.

Probably why he's LFC manager and I'm not!

There's a few lads in that line up who need to raise their levels significantly today, though, IMHO!

Let's Hope firmino makes me eat my words and scores a couple. But I just can't get my head round it.

but I guess this is a different game . can't see spurs parking it ,as burnley

Could be any result, can see us losing easily or scoring loads and winning.

Not happy about that central midfielder again but got the players to hurt them. Just got to hope we get the rub of the green and minimise mistakes. 

That Midfield can get turned over . Going to enjoy watching Firminho drop in and out of the game. Put a f***in shift in.

NUFC fans would add Wijnaldum to that list. 

That central midfield partnership is going to get run over again and IMO we should have gone with Sturridge up top. Our best striker/finisher doesn't start in a big game like this, wow.
