Decent squad that  though obviously short in 2 or 3 areas. Its a few injuries away from being bang average.

If Jürgen pulled a title off with that squad he'd rank up there with the greatest. If he gets top 4 with it hell deserve a pat on the back

Ha ha. Karius already out. Can out for Germany this  week. Lucas out. The boss saying sakho and ings not match fit. Sturridge say no more..no hope well have an injury free season

If I'm not wrong Brannagan did not go out on loan.

With the addition of Matip and Mane to our first team we should challenge for Top 4

However it's looking like our two most players will be Mane because of his pace and directness, we basically have no one else like him.
And Can because he brings so much more balance to our midfield along with some bite and physicality.

For me we are short in the two full back positions most obviously. We talk a lot about left back, but gawd knows what we'll do if Clyne gets injured as well.

The other obvious deficiency is in midfield. A good controlling/defensive mid would be very handy.

The first choice eleven looks OK aside from left back, but that for me includes Danny Sturridge up top and we appear to have gone off that idea.

I suppose we'll know how good the squad is compared to everyone else by Christmas.  Then it'll be January and we can have another go!

Aside from what Bigmick says - and he's right I think - what shouts out at me from that list is that I can't see the obvious strong spine of a first 11.  Karius, Lovren/Matip, Can/Hendo, Sturridge?  Hmm...

I see you've listed Firmino a forward and Milner as a defender. I know they're being played as those, but...!

I just copy and pasted the list from elsewhere but yes, I tend to agree Milner as a defender is a bit of a stretch

I hadn't realised Ojo was officially in the first team squad.  Pleased to see him there, though.
