      Pre-Match: Liverpool v Leicester Sat 10/9/16 17.30 KO

So here we go with our first home game of the season against the Champions and under the newly fitted main stand, I know there's still another week to go but I'm sure we are all excited to see the Redmen in action at home.... I can't wait to take my seat in the Kop, it's been far too long.

Hoping that all our players come back fit and well from the International break so Jürgen pretty well has a full squad to pick from, essential we get a win under our belts for this game, after 3 away games, it'll be boss to see the Reds under the Anfield floodlights and I'm desperate for that home win.

Jürgen needs to put his best team out to beat the foxes, although they haven't hit the ground running, they'll raise their game for the Anfield visit.

Let's hope the ground is buzzing and the atmosphere is electric to put Jürgen in a cracking mood  :D :D

Come on REDS let's do this !!

Think we will win this but can't see us scoring many, so our defence will have to do much better than previously. Doubt if Karius or Can will be back for this one, but hopefully Mane will be fit.

                                   Mignolet

      Clyne            Lovren         Matip         Milner

                     Henderson     Gigi

         Mane          Firmino          Coutinho

                           Sturridge

      1-0 Sturridge

some people think this is a banker but I think its going to be a difficult game Leicester are a better side than last season and will fancy there chances against us on the counter attack.

I think the loss of Kante is huge to Leicester so I disagree that they are better, whilst I think we really are much improved. I'm not super confident but I do fancy us to win this.

If you told me this time last year that this match up between Liverpool v Leicester would feature the champions of England I would have got dead excited...

To say the champions would be Leicester and not Liverpool would knock me clean out!

As long as we can keep their midfield tied up, and cut out the service to the likes of Vardy and his pace, we should do ok. Cant see him scoring another worldy like he did last season, but he's always gonna be dangerous on the counter. Do we have anyone as quick in the back 4 ? or do we defend deeper to nullify that space behind where he loves to run into ?
About time Sturridge got a start as well. Seems to be going down the pecking order with us and England !
Not match fit.... well you aint gonna be if you don't get more that 10 mins in a game are you.
We need to unleash the beast, and give these fuckers something else to contend with. I'm sure studge has learnt his lesson about defending from the front and putting a proper shift in. Drop Bob back and ship Hendo onto the bench. At least when bob gets on the ball, he uses it in a more positive manner. Like to see Can in the middle as well. Drinkwater can be a tough old boy. Too much for Hendo I think. Even Milner would be a better option, with Moreno back in at L.B.
The rest speaks for itself, but we need to be 100% start to finish. I'm going 3 - 2 to the red men. Sort of confident well win it, just not sure we gonna keep a clean sheet.
Gonna change my prediction now   ;D

With Mahrez cutting in from the right on to his left, Milner (as much as i think he is nothing but a right winger) could work well with the winger cutting in to Milner's preferred right foot.

The Arbeloa-Messi situation all over again under Rafa.

I think this will be a comfortable win for our MIGHTY REDS and I can see Leicester struggling this season.Anything less than a win will be seen as failure due to the fact that this is our first home match of the season and Jürgen will have the lads raring to win and fight for the ball. :kop5cf8koxp6:

Aye FMS but the 'secret of their success' was that they spent less than us last season... the shoe's on the other foot now.  ;)

Massive games so early in the season aren't good for the nerves, but there's a huge lot riding on this. Win it and we'll be 7 points from 4 games. Not great, but considering who we've played it's not a disaster either. Draw it and 5 points from 4 games doesn't look healthy, particularly when one of the games ought to have been a penalty kick win. Lose it and it doesn't even bear thinking about, the start then will look very poor. Seems crazy that one game could have such a huge influence, but it is what it is.

Anything other than a win would leave us IMHO needing to win at Chelsea the week after in order to still have a realistic shot of winning the league**. You can't win the league in September but you can certainly lose any chance you had of winning it, and if we were to fall 7-8 points behind all of Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea I think it would be too big an ask.

So "massive" doesn't do this one justice. Fortunately, since Jurgens arrival we've generally done really well in "big" games and I think we'll win this with a bit in hand. Leicester are a good side who will be in the top 8, but we're a better side and it's about time we got some reward for some good play. I take us to win comfortably 4-0 and have us all dreaming again.

**Disclaimer-I'm not "writing off our chances already", I'm just trying to give some context as to how important I believe this game is.
