      150 for The Magician

Should he play any part in tonight's fixture, it will be Phil Coutinho's 150th game for the club. It's a feat 135 Reds have achieved prior to Phil but one only three of the current squad have reached - Lucas, Henderson and Mignolet. (it will also be Milner's 50th game but I don't think that's worthy of a thread in itself)

His fellow Brazilian Lucas is the only South American to have got to 150 appearances for the club thus far, so Phil is in an elite club in that respect.

In his time with the club, he's currently got 30 goals, most of which have absolute belters, and that puts him in our top 100 goalscorers. A goal tonight ties him with John Arne Riise as our 90th most deadly marksman on 31.

His creativity is without doubt his stand out quality though. He makes things happen out of nothing. His technique and skill is beyond question, he has it all in abundance but the one thing hovering over him has been his consistency. When he's good though, he's practically unplayable.

I know a lot of people have stated they'd rather he didn't start tonight, solely because of how well we played without him at Leicester, and even if he doesn't start then he'll certainly come off the bench and play for his 150th Liverpool appearance.

An achievement richly deserved, so well in Phil. (and he still has an uncanny resemblance to Don Everly)

Personally, he should be on the bench and we play the same team as last week. He should earn his place back. Yes, he is a special player but it should apply to all players.

Unfortunately, he will be back in place of Sturridge. I think Sturridge is a special player should be played in all games except when he is injured - so that's two games a season  ;).
