Jürgen seems more confident than I have seen him for a while.

Probably leaves Sturridge or Coutinho as the only choice for the starting XI. I think we all assume Lovren will be back in.

Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon or Monday night, any day is good to beat the Chavs  ;D. Just hope the ref isn't a homer and keeps an eye on Costa because he is one dirty fcuker.
We are on a Jürgen roll, and really fancy us to do them in a tight match.........but what do I know  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

Hardest game of the season in my opinion. While I would make City favorites for the title I'd make Chelsea our hardest opposition due to style of play.

Be very interested how Jürgen will set up for this as we saw in preseason how they'll probably approach it even at home.

I'd take a draw now if it were offered as I don't think many will come away from there with better. If we manage to get a win it would be absolutely huge.

Tough game with terry out they could be vulnerable at the back without his leadership.

      Looking forward to it

I think we can go there and spank them, hardest test thus far for me tho, I'm glad that racist thug is missing which means that tw*t Luis will play,
Can is out but I'd rather we stick with the same X1 V Leicester with two exceptions.....

                            Karius
           Clyne Lovren Matip Milner
              Henderson   Wijnaldum
              Mane. Lallana. Firmino
                          Sturridge

Bench ;Mignolet, Moreno Lucas, Coutinho, Origi, Grujic, Stewart

Love to see us go at these from the off, get the first goal and they will have to come at us, leaving spaces we can exploit.

Yea, for pace I'd prefer him to side-show bob.  But since Terry has played all four games so far, him being out could unsettle their defense a bit. And Cahill has looked a bit ropey.
I think we can deffo get at them...

For all of Terry's frailties he is a great organiser of that Chelsea back 4 and he knows his own limitations so is highly unlikely to be get caught out in open space or 1v1 against the likes of Mane.
Where as Luiz is more than likely to go walk about and get caught out of position or more likely will cause panic in their back line.

      5am.

This Friday night footy needs to piss off. Sh*t time-slot for everyone except Europe. I wanna sleep in on Saturday, not get up earlier.

Blame your ancestors for having a complete lack of foresight ;D

So... are we loaning Can out then? :f_whistle:

Yeah have to agree. Chelsea do look the toughest side in terms of how they play. I'm not really envisioning a win, but 3 points would be massive.

I really feel like we can do these on Friday, if we play like we did on Saturday, I'm confident we can get a result. Like others have said, keep a winning team, just got to keep an eye on that dirty b***ard costa...what's the betting he gets sent off

Chelsea is a good team and we play on their turf. I'd be alright if we can bring home a point. I wanna see how our defense holds and if we can continue our offensive firepower we showed in London and against Leicester. I think we will know a lot more about the prospects of our team after this game.

I can see Terry getting a red card if our forwards run at him...

      I'm going with a 3-1 win.

Terry is out for 10 days mate. Luiz takes his place.

I was thinking yesterday about who is actually the better to face. Terry is slow as F**k but Luiz is easier to embarrass on the whole.

I think Luiz is better to face because his positional sense is pretty poor and he plays like someone is controlling him on the x box

Got a bad feeling about this game. I hope the lads aren't feeling over confident.

Chelsea are my pick for the title, as Conte has set them up well with Kante doing both his and Matic job, and Matic can beef up there attack at times.

Key to this game is beating Kante. The space afforded to us on Saturday won't be there, so I think the deep runners Lallana and Gigi could play the key role in winning.

I've gone for a defeat in prediction, would be happy with a point, and if we win, then I'll be buzzing. After Chelsea game we have a relatively easier run up till Utd, so could give us that momentum going into the Christmas period of game after game.

So early in season, but a real test to see how we are. Can't wait.

What about Burnley that was not too clever,I prefer to look back on our magnificent victories against Chelsea. We have got to play every game with confidence thinking we can beat the opposition whoever they may be.

Toughest game of the season this, their style of play is just so at odds with ours and obviously they are very strong at home.

But we'll smash em, when we play like we can we can beat anybody.

We're gonna walk all over them. The way we press, Costa isn't going to get many chances. We can even afford for Migs and Alberto to make a mistake or two and win.

If we press, we pass, we move, we'll get many chances to round their keeper and score easy goals.
