      Well deserved win.
We were very good for 25 minutes and then pretty solid thereafter. The chavs were sh*te.

I was just thinking our defence was looking the best I've seen it in a long time when we had our obligatory dopey moment. Hendo went to sleep, and I have no idea what Matip was doing going down to block on his knees. They had been probably our 2 best players apart from that moment. But I thought we reacted to that well and got back to decent defending/possession again.

Big win imo. Keeps us in touch after a tough few fixtures. Catching Citeh is going to be tough - they look very good already. But we look better than Utd , Chelsea or the Arse.

MOTM to Hendo for his goal. Won't be many better this season.
( Also good to see Milner showing again he is at least decent at LB. Thought Wijnaldum looks like he can make that CM role work as well.)

Good headache to have about where to put them isn't it.

Even Migs has been playing alright however it's a case of do we need to wait for the inevitable mistake before swapping him out or bite the bullet and do it now.

You're not alone Hyton, I also went for Matip motm. Think they said Costa only had 11 touches, and they were in midfield. That was going well into 2nd half, so Matip clearly had him wrapped up.
All round decent display, and credit where credits due, Hendo did have a decent game, and a scorcher of a strike. Just never going to be consistent enough to convince me he's top drawer.
With the bench we now have, when everyones free from injury, I think we could be serious contenders this season. Just have to go into EVERY GAME, like we did this one.
Delighted with the performance, and even more so with the result.
We could be back in 7th by the end of today, but we've played some top sides, so them above us are surely gonna drop points sooner or later playing each other.  :aaliverpool2xt1: Let's keep this up now. We have the management and players to do it. Just need the mental ability to overcome the anxiety of beating the mid table sides.

What was impressive was that the midfield trio worked.

Lallana, Wijnaldum and Hendo were perfect. I always doubted this trio because none could defend properly but it seems that the pressing does the job for the team, I don't know if it works everytime. Also the Lovren-Matip partnership works very well.

      Awkward. but so good...

Didn't see Hendo go to sleep what I did see was Lallana bump into a Chelsea player  stumble try to regain his feet lost about 4 yards on the guy going through and couldn't make up the distance to match his run which then saw Costa  score we had 2 on the line a keeper a player on the deck and another standing up and he still scored enough bodies just fu**ed  up
