Our difficult 8 game start is over - and now...

2 down 6 to go. When I first looked at the next 8 matches, I thought Palace away was going to be the toughest out of all of them. Chalked up a nervy but nice win there so feel very confident we can get wins in the next 6. Fingers and everything else crossed.

We could be sitting clear at the top come the turn of the Year.

Was hoping we may get a match by match comparison, this season against last season, as someone posted and updated last season.
Not for me i'm afraid, but it did make interesting reading last year. anyone up for it ?

Man Utd (H) - Last year a defeat - this year a draw +1
West Brom (H) - Last year a draw - this year a win +2
Swansea (A) - Last year a defeat - this year a win +3

Leicester (H), Spurs (A), Chelsea (A), Palace (A) all the same as last year.

Burnley (1st in champ) replacing Newcastle (18th) = no change in result - defeat.
Hull (Playoff winners) replacing Villa (20th) = no change in result - a win.

They score from our mistakes, we are confident enough in ourselves to go down there and score more then they do.

Someone around us will drop points this weekend with Arsenal and Spurs playing eachother.

The 6 points have thankfully helped raise our p.p.g. average to 2.3. The team in 5th is currently running at 2.0.

It's early days but we could be looking at big final points totals, for all the top four, this season (in my opinion obviously).

2nd and 3rd got 71 and 70 points last season - I'd be surprised if that's not at least 10 points better.

We're unplayable at the moment. The trio of Mane, Firminho and Cou and to a certain extend Lallana is so hard to play against. Defenders couldn't figure out exactly which direction these players will turn.

3/3, this 100% run in this block isn't al that bad is it.

Southampton is a tricky game. I'd be more confident going down there after they had played on a Thursday night in Europe. The international break always seems to dent our momentum as well    Presumably we have more players away than they do so they could be quite fresh for this one.

The way we're playing at the moment though youd have to back us to beat them. I think it says a lot about how far we've come because in recent seasons if you had offered me a draw before kick off away at Southampton I'd have probably taken it. Would I take it now? Would I f**k.
