Considering it happened while he worked for another club I don't see why or how West Brom would sack him. I found a comment on one West Brom forum to be interesting. It mentioned how he got certain players to make sh*t up in court to back him up, one of them was Barry Bannan. I remember queuing up behind him once at a casino in Manchester. It was members night and he wasn't one so he started kicking up a face with the usual "you do know I'm a footballer" speech. Doesn't surprise me that he'd back up this huge tit!
