Lucas Leiva and Divock Origi are in the Liverpool line-up to face Bournemouth this afternoon.

The pair replace Joel Matip and Philippe Coutinho – both sidelined with ankle injuries – respectively from the side that started last time out in the Premier League, against Sunderland at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ovie Ejaria and Ben Woodburn are among the substitutes at Vitality Stadium after their contributions to the EFL Cup win over Leeds United in midweek.

Adam Lallana is also fit to take a place on the bench.

Liverpool team: Karius, Clyne, Lovren, Lucas, Milner, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Origi.

Substitutes: Mignolet, Klavan, Moreno, Alexander-Arnold, Ejaria, Lallana, Woodburn.

      Go on Lucas!

Massive loss with Matip. Since when did he get injured?

Is Matip injured, I'm not to comfortable with Lucas as CB but we should be ok. If we can win today, which I fully expect us to do, then we get a buffer to chasing pack. I think Citeh are in a bit of trouble, losing Aguero and Fernandinio for 3-4 games will hurt them.

Does that mean you went for final score just a single goal with a CLEAN SHEET?

Can't say I'm expecting a clean sheet with Lucas and Lovren BUT they managed it mid-week so fingers crossed.  Trying to stay optimistic!

Expecting a 1 - 5 win. Origi x2, Gigi, Bobby and Lucas on the score sheet.

I don't remember him doing anything wrong at the start of the season so not sure why he isn't getting the nod.

And also - Marko Grujic - does he work somewhere else on Sundays? What has happened to him?

Agree with that, should win, but the Lucas Lovren pairing,is not filling me with much confidence tbh.

If were to remain genuine challengers for the title then 3 points is simply a must, every team will pick up injuries its how we deal with them and how consistent we remain in spite of them that will determine our true credentials.

I'll take a ground out hard fought 1-0 win right now if offered, but can see it being an entertaining game if Bournemouth are set up to play football.

Thing is, we don't see them everyday in training.
