Second that.  I'm from Cincinnati.  You going to the game in Chicago in July?  I already have my tickets.

I'm bringing a friend who's not much into the sport.  Maybe this will get him hooked.  We got seats 9 rows from the field near midfield.  I'm wondering how many current first team players will be there, since it's just a couple weeks after World Cup ends.

Just booked a last minute vacation/visit to England to see a friend there before he graduates. Unfortunately it was too late to get regular admission tickets to see the Reds play Sunderland on the 26th.

I found this forum while trying to figure out the best way to possibly get tickets (not hospitality package). I would love to see the Reds play and hope that I will be able to acquire some tickets.

Just wanted to say hi as I look around the site and, hopefully, can get some good information or help getting two tickets to the Sunderland game.

      Cheers!

Welcome to the forum Evaluator, hope you enjoy your time here.

There are/were spare tickets for the Sunderland game from one of the forum members, not sat together though but I'm sure you won't mind that if you get to see the mighty Reds whilst you're in Blighty  ;D

You'll not be able to pm him as you don't have enough posts but if you want them I'd be happy to get in touch with him.

I am interested in at least finding out more if you could PM that person for me (thank you reddebs!), although I'm not sure my other half will go for sitting away from me. She most likely wouldn't like that! But if that's the best chance I have of getting regular admission, she might go for it.

If that doesn't work out, I'm wondering about buying through the official website.

      Maybe someone has some insight...
What are the chances of late availability tickets opening up? Can an international member get in on late availability tickets? Do we both have to be members to get tickets?

There may be late availability due to it being a rearranged fixture but they go very quickly and are usually open to members first before general admissions.  Anyone can become member but its probably not worth it if you're only going to use it the once and no you don't both have to be members.

I'll pm him, see if they're still available but here's the info he posted, you'll be able to find out exactly where they are on the official site.

Don't think you can respond but I've messaged him so when he replies I'll let you know, he may well have sold them already.

Not sure how restricted it is tbh mate, I think it's usually just a pillar/stantion which will mean constantly looking either side when play is in that area.

Just woke up at 4 AM here...totally worth it.  Just got two tickets to the Sunderland match!  Looking forward to my first trip to England and being able to see a match at Anfield!

Thanks reddebs for your help trying to secure those extra tickets from another member, but it looks like I won't need them now.

I have to try to get a little more rest before work starts in a few hours...

If you are looking to make it over there on the cheap, look into getting a bonus rewards credit card. The Chase United MileagePlus card had a 50k point bonus (plus 5k if you add an authorized user). This will get just about enough points for a roundtrip flight to London for the cheapest award option. United has a good award program for traveling to London because you don't have to pay any fees with award point bookings (Heathrow airport fees are pretty high comparatively).

Thanks for the info.  I have all our business accounts at Chase, so I might look into that.  Here's my plan.  My wife is from Kenya and I've never been there myself.  She goes back about once every couple years and we've been saying that I need to make the trip with her.  We've been married 12 years and I've never met the in laws yet.  When she goes she usually changes planes in London.  I figured that the when I go I'll change planes in London...with about a week and a half in between flights.  I've been pricing the flights and there's not much difference in price with booking separate flights between here and London and London and Nairobi and booking one trip from here to Nairobi with a stop in London.  I think we'll take about a month off and both fly to London, she'll take the next flight to Nairobi, and I'll take a flight to Nairobi about ten days or so later.  That way I can attend a couple games and take some days running around sight seeing a bit as well.  The tricky part isn't really the money, but being able to get away from our business for any length of time.  Right now we have to be pretty much hands on most of the time.  I'm going to need to hire a couple extra people and then be able to still work remotely while I'm there, but I think I could possibly swing it next year.

Heya. I've been following you guys for quite some time now, but couldn't find the guts to sign up and post anything, but here goes. I'm a passionate LFC supporter (as you all are) from Lithuania, I manage an unofficial facebook page for Lithuanian supporters, we do meetups, watch games together, celebrate the victories and vent after the losses together, etc. In my heart I've always hated the mancs, but didn't really have to chance to seriously follow football up until I went to university as the majority of lithuanians are into basketball and my family isn't keen on sports at all. Started following LFC since 2008/09, fell in love with the club and the heart's been pumping LFC red ever since.

P.S. Posted a pic of myself with Martin „Nails-for-breakfast“ Å krtel in the „Your brush with the Liverpool players??“ thread.  ;)

      Introducing Alexander
I am the very proud mumma of 7 year old Alexander who is the biggest, most obsessed Liverpool FC fan!  Why am I introducing Alexander? Because he is remarkable, a walking talking miracle with a gigantic heart. Here's Alexander's story... when Alexander was 2 months old he contracted bacterial meningitis and had to be resuscitated when we arrived at the ICU. The following day he suffered a stroke. The doctors and specialists prepared us for the horrifying diagnosis of,  even if he was to survive (and the chances were remote) he would probably be severely disabled. But our Alexander is a fighter! He defied all the odds and pulled through with just the loss of his peripheral vision on his right side. The reason I wanted to share his story with you all is because I recently posted a youtube clip of him singing YNWA. He was besides himself when the club posted it on their Facebook page and he's now received over 5000 views.  My boy was so solemn and sad when we explained the meaning behind the song and Liverpool Fc. So to continue to put a smile on his dial here it is... You'll never walk alone: http://youtu.be/aNLJw8lvSOE thanks for taking the time to read his story,  I hope he inspires you as much as he does me!!! ♡
