Why do we F**k around with the contract offers?? Probably edged Stevie to think about departing and missed out on signing a bunch of players

So now they are F***ing around with our only consistently fit defender offering him an "unacceptable" contract.

Low balling our transfer targets is one thing but low balling our own first team players is nothing short of disgraceful.

As a long serving member of the squad, I feel he has earnt the right to a good contract. Sounds like the one he's being offered at the moment is what should be on the table next time around.

When everything is taken into account his worth to our club must be quite close to £100k.
 He is our best defender. We are a club with CL expectations. We are one of Europes richest clubs.  His experience is worth a considerable amount especially when you considered the players who have recently left our club.

I've always said it waould be crazy to let him go but it is a possibility I'd imagine.

I always get the impression though that Brendam has never been truly convinced by him despite what he has said publicly about him.

Much like you said Si, I've always thought that Brendan doesn't rate him that highly. Skrts is also one of the last remaining players from pre-Brendan and it seems there's been a cull on them from day one, so I'd not be surprised if that were the case mate.

That's because part of Milner's £150 grand is being paid from Skrtel's salary. Where else are they going to get the money from otherwise.

Our best defender over the last three seasons being made to feel uneasy about his contract offer, with a "pay as you play" element to it? Skrtel is absolutely right, this is a contract you give to a 36 year old, or a player who is always injured. It's really baffling, sometimes if you didn't know better you'd be forgiven for thinking FSG and their cohorts are f*cking it up on purpose. This is where I hope Brendan begins to put his neck on the block more. Clearly he needs Skrtel as he picks him every single week, time for him to have a word with Ayres and tell him to get it the f*ck sorted.
