Hope he isn't on his way out Jon.

Spoke highly about playing CL with us again hopefully he will stick around to fulfill that desire.

A part of me thinks that things between him and BR got a bit frosty though towards the end of the season when he was benched coming back from injury, so it won't be a total shock if he is off.

He's been with us for a long time. Will be a sad day if he does go.

Hmm interesting spot PD. I'm with Dado in hoping he doesn't go but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he does for the same reasons listed.

We're after Lovren with Ilori coming back there's bound to be one out from the ones we have.

I would still put him ahead of Lovren despite the age and injury history so if it means us getting Lovren at the expense of losing Daniel no thanks for me.

If Ilori is in the first team picture I think Kolo should be on the outer and possibly Coates who I also think has a page or two to write for us.

      Tough one this.

Agree with you all, I like Danny a lot, hope he doesn't go but all the talk is he may well be.

Totally agree Dado. I'd be sad to see him go for a few reasons; not least that I'm a big fan of the lad, his skill, loyalty and passion.

My fear too is that we seem to be still following the 'one in, one out' transfer model... with the "one out" not always being the worst but the higher paid of any options. Would we be stronger and better prepared for Champions League and title push without Danny? I don't believe so but I am biased.

It beggars belief really that we're actively looking to sell both our best forward and best defender. Disgusting.

Edit: if the Agger rumours have any truth to them that is...

Are we looking to sell Danny?  I haven't seen the clur nor Dagger say so.

Ye I probably should have added that disclaimer in before I posted rather than after. Hopefully it's all nonsense.

It's just that the last couple years it's seemed like Agger is the one that gets touted as always being available for transfer yet he is always here. I can't see why Brendan would want to offload a valuable defender and the vice-captain of the team.

I think you need balance in a centre back partnership so cant agree.

      Was Agger involved vs PNE?

Won't happen, there is no way Brendan will play two left footed CBs together.

I will go one further and predict Agger will leave the club in the next few weeks if a decent offer comes in. Skrtel will become vice captain and rotate with Sakho beside Lovren.

I would love to see an Agger-Lovren partnership, as Lovren can also play on the right side of defense.

Unfortunately, I think Rodgers doesn't rate him and he prefers a more aggressive defender ala Skrtel

I like Agger however he seems to be more easily outmuscled than Skrtel. Maybe not be as strong. Or maybe he needs to learn Skrtel tricks and start pulling more opponents shirts... :-)
