Dagger was a true Red!  He loved the club and always showed 100% commitment.  I have great respect for the fact that he is going home to Brondby to finish his career.  Yeah, we could have gotten more money if he had gone to a bigger club, but I love him for not being a money grubbing, glory hunting asshole.  He has been a fantastic servant to the club, and one of my all time favorites to ever play for us.  I'll always remember the forearm shiver he put on Torres the first game we played Chelsea after his big move a few years back!!

      Best of luck Danny!!  YNWA

      Agree in part.
If you are praising Danny for not being money grabbing you also have to realize and accept that the club have done a wonderful thing by cutting their loses and any expected profit and decided to help Danny get the move he wants.
That is a huge statement by the club and the money men deserve massive credit

Gutted he left but stayed true his word that he'd never play for a premier league rival, his heart pumps red, Liverpool red, one of my favourite players from the Rafa era onwards. Good luck to him at Brondby.

Good bye, good luck, you'll always be welcome back.  A player that wore his heart on his knuckles.  Lots of memories, one of my favourites though....

Very sad to see Dagger leave. While Agger hasn't been his absolute best the past 2 years or so and often injured, he was still a class player and would have been hugely valuable to have in the squad. I'm a bit gutted.

I suppose, though, if we are going to sell Daniel, sending him back to Brondby was the best all-around option.

Very sad news for me, I really loved the man before the player. Still can't find another loyal player like him in this modern era. In Italy there are not too many news.. He left only because he wanted to come back home? He's 29, he would have had a lot more to offer to high level football.

How good was it hearing the fans singing his name today, all the best for the rest of your career Dagger. Injuries took it's toll I'm afraid in such a physically demanding league.

My best moment was still his welcoming to Chelsea's Torres at the Bridge after his transfer. YNWA

Gutted to see him leave - an absolute privelege to have such a guy at the club, that kind of loyalty is rare to see in football. A great player and a great guy.

He will be much missed and I wish him the best of luck back at Brondby. Injuries must have taken their toll on him - he stated in a farewell message about the physical demand was becoming too strenuous, and he's only 29. Seems like he's been here for an age - very sad to see, as the Benitez era players slowly fades into history.

All the best to him, and hope he comes back to watch us play.

when I first went to Liverpool and Anfield to see us play in 2012 I thought about whos name I should get on the back of the first shirt I buy at the ground and it had to be Dagger. for me that sums up how important he was to the club. :( I love defenders and loved Skrtel and Agger so it was such a joy to see them play together for good periods of time, under Kenny, under Rodgers. great memories, great players and great club servants.

Thing about it is that you know he genuinely means every word in that statement as opposed to certain other players who have left the club.

Such a shame to see him go and I still think he could have played a huge part for us, but, alas, it wasn't to be.

One of my absolute heroes! I'm a Melbourne boy and over here when you see a Liverpool supporter wearing the kit ya think ohh he'll have stevie or luis or an old Fernando on but apart from stevie I have only one other jersey at with AGGER 5 I've never been prouder. I'd often be asked "whose AGGER" and ya just think to yourself, this bloke has no idea just a bandwagoner, so anyway all the best to you Daniel your an absolute inspiration to myself and you gave absolutely everything every single time. I'd have you starting ahead of Skrtel or Lovren anyday. YNWA
