I think I said something along the lines of ''he can stick his free kicks up his backside'' in the last match he played.  Maybe he read that comment and put in extra hours at them in practice Wink

Anyways I take that comment back.  Well done Fabio.

Left back playing centre mid? Great game and great finish. Have we found a new utility player?  Wink

A special mention for Fabio today.  I was scratching my head when I seen he was starting in midfield, but I thought he had a good game there, and a rocket of a shot to get his goal.  Great stuff!
He occasionally played midfield for Rafa in Valencia.

I thought Fabio played very well today and was impressed with his delivery from corners which has been a big problem for us this season. It may be an idea for him and Stevie to alternate the corners to give us a bit more variation.

Had a good game today. Almost put us in front with that free kick. Have to admit we were lucky the second one went it as the goal was covered with bodies!

He was really good yesterday and he played in an unusual role ... both free kicks were taken well and he tried to make sure that good passes got forward .. keep up the good work Fabio !

Another good game from him. For me he his head and shoulders above Dossena. Great he got his 2nd goal for us too.

The key is whether or not he can stay injury free now

When I saw the lineup, after I said WTF? I said sh*t Aurelio is going to take the free kicks today. FFS.  f_steam

Didn't I look like an idiot when he scored that cracker. Tongue

He smashed that ...through Crouchie's long legs ...so hard, Kranckjir (don't know how to spell it, sorry) didn't even have time to react.

Well done Fabio.

The only free transfer that really has worked out pretty well. I am worried now that he is on good form that it is time for him to get a season ending injury.

I think Aurelio has had a kick up the arse since Insua's inclusion into the first team. He's seen Insua come in and do a top quality job, which has forced Aurelio to up his game and it looks like he has. Long may it continue.

What Fab needs is a run injury free. Everytime hes getting a few games and playing well bang something goes on him.

Well, what can you say about the bloke, gets better every game and is also good at going forward and delivering crosses, as we saw with his assist to Torres against Chelsea. Keep up the good work lad.

Oh come off it mate credit where its due but it was far from world class. A smashed low shot from the penalty spot hardly a world beater but well taken anyway.
