I'm baffled by this. Just when you thought it was about making him accountable for his actions she then decides to settle. It turns out it was all about the money from the off. I'm surprised and not surprised at the same time.

I would not be the least bit surprised if Eva was paid a visit by certain Russian "gentlemen" who made her an offer she couldn't refuse. Otherwise it makes zero sense to settle this case, its the most open and shut case of constructive dismissal and sexual harassment and bullying I have ever read about.

So the only reason it went to court was because she wanted more money. Right little feminist

"My priority has always been the health and safety of the players and fulfilling my duty of care as a doctor."
Addressing the London South Employment Tribunal centre in Croydon, Daniel Stilitz QC, for Chelsea and Mr Mourinho, said: "We are pleased to be able to tell the tribunal that the parties agreed a settlement on confidential terms."

It says more about Chelsea and mourhino than Eva. ~she hit them where it hurts and if they were innocent why not defend the position in Court.
One thing that pisses me off is it never gets mentioned that she was not the first on the pitch but she got the flack.
We didn't get the Mourhino apology but in all honesty who would turn down a few million just to make a point. she can always bring it in her book.

I would imagine the settlement is full of gagging orders preventing her or anyone associated with her from putting anything in a book for a very very long time, but leaks will and do happen ;-)

Manchester Utd could not cope with Mourinho on the stand for 2 days, they have their'reputation' to consider, and I'm sure it wasn't in Mourinho's, Chelsea's and Man Utd's interest to wash Mourinho's dirty linen in public.
The good doctor has been bought off, with, if reports are to be believed upwards of £5m. That must have been some very dirty linen.

£5 million buys a lot of principles I don't blame her. there are still calls though for Maureen to apologise publicly.

I don't blame her either, and I think he needs to apologise publicly, but I won't hold my breath.

Looks like the Rent Boys are about to sign Kante wonder how he will perform in a possession based team.

Hopefully he'll turn out to be a one season wonder, but you can't fault them for being aggressive in the transfer market.

It's official now, Chelsea signed Kante for a fee believed to be around £30m. Good purchase IMO.

      You think so?

I'd have thought a player like him under a manager like Conte would be a good match.

Watching Kante throughout last season, he was player of the season imo. At £30m, I think it's cheap considering how rich Abramovich is. I think Chelsea has a damn good chance of winning the league now.

Perfect match. Chelsea fans will be over the moon and it's not as if they don't have a good record in that department what with Makelele and Matic. Leicester far too willing in my opinion. They could and should have got a better deal. Champions of England but still with a mid table mentality in seeing money like that.

Meanwhile, Conte lost his first game in charge as they were beaten 2-0 by Rapid Vienna in a friendly. Chelsea fielded a strong side captained by John Terry and including Branislav Ivanovic, Nemanja Matic, Willian, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Diego Costa.
