Showed great intelligence and self-control! He didn't just throw himself in front of the ball, but kept his eyes on it to block it at just the right moment. Hope to see more great moves from him like that this season. We talk about players who are match winners, but those kind of gestures can turn a match around, and are worth a goal in themselves!

I was very pleased when I saw we had signed dossena, and I said that I had seen him play quite a few times and that he was a very good player. I think yesterday showed how high his commitment levels are, basically every player would have just given up seeing as the rangers player was basically on the line but he came from no where and kept it out, I thought it was Carragher at 1st as its the sort of thing he would do he was getting up and down the line well and put in some very good crosses. Obviously he could have played better as he gave the ball away high up the pitch on a couple of occasions and had a long way to get back but he is still adapting and I have no doubt he will become a vital player for us.
