Great news, mate. I can only imagined how difficult it must have been for you but it gives me extra joy seeing that people of this forum have somehow helped you get through this. It's a wonderful place this, red family indeed.

Just wanted to give an update.  17/11

I attended to a meeting with my Oncology consultants late on Friday.

After the summer of chemotherapy and radiotherapy , they have successfully arrested the tumour and there has been no further growth or activity.

What this means ... is that the treatment for the lung cancer has worked.

Next stop ?  Three month check ups.

Obviously delirious with the news and now needing to re focus on where my horizon is again.
There could still be a big red bus come along tomorrow morning and knock me over .... but the Big C has taken a hit.

I got in the ring with this thing 9 years ago in France ,  but it kept one eye open and eventually wanted a rematch.
      Score now ?

You will never realise the emotions that poured out of me when I was pointed to this thread just a few months ago.

      So.
      Unfortunately.
It looks like a may be around for a bit which probably isn't good news for some but there we go.

There's a kid (she's 31, but they're all kids to me!) in my team who's going through this just now with her Mum. She's in bits - but (and I hope you won't mind) letting her know that there are good news stories out there too will give her such a huge boost.

Right, now you've dusted that bugger off, what's your plans for our defence?

Made up for you mate. It's not nice seeing someone going through it, as it's such a horrible thing to be diagnosed with. A few family members I know have fought through as well and come out the other side after kicking the "big C's" ass, there are another few who unfortunately, whilst very strong just could not come out the other side.

Wishing you all the best wishes in the world, enjoy everything mate and cherish all your family and friends who've stood by you Skip.
