Everyone off on holidays!

Just booked accomm there myself yesterday for Ibiza. 8 of us going out there for 10 days. 1 of the lads' girlfriend is from there so there'll be a few of them knocking around too!

Dear enough before we even get there, €600 for flights & accomm and it ain't cheap out there either.

Was in Corfu a few weeks ago, was lovely to get away from this weather, off to Tenerife at the start of July too!

Just back from Turkey last night. Met some of the most amazing people ever, and I have a new found love for Welsh girls. Simply incredible trip.

On Sanibel Island this week on the Southwest coast of Florida. In my opinion this is the most wonderful place on the Earth and I have been to a few others in my time.


The really nice thing is that when we leave on Wednesday the drive home takes about 15 minutes

Off to our apartment in Torrevieja Spain on Sept 1st for a week(before the trip back to Luxembourg), hopefully on the back of 3 premiership wins!

I am off too Ourgate next week I have to wait till October before I catch some rays in tenerife.

Was away in France between 21st June and 12th July. 3 great weeks!

Does anyone know anything about Seattle or Denver?

Ideally, I'd like to do both, but I also want to take the ship from Seattle to Anchorage if possible and spend some time in Alaska.

When are you going? Been to Anchorage but never Seattle or Denver. Reason I ask when, don't think you want to go to Anchorage anytime soon as it will be cold as a witches tit and not much daylight.

Spring/summer.
That's when the cruises run if I remember right.

Might get the cruise one way, then fly back and transfer to Denver.

We haven't decided yet, and have to work out logistics and all that sh*te.
Personally, I'd just as soon wing it. I hate those package tours, but I suppose I better consider the mrs unless I can find a way to leave her home, or tell her to go somewhere hot with her mates.

Just back from Skiathos 28-30 in the shade from beginning to end, back to a pissing wet, dreary Manchester airport.

  I hope this year's poor weather conditions didn't affect your holiday and you had a good time there my friend.Is really Skiathos as beautiful as you say it is? My wife stronlgy agrees with you since she had been with her family in almost every single Greek island and there are awfully many of them but i'm not much of a traveller myself (i feel sorry for her since we got married).

Now looking for a weekend off in mid-July.

That quote was from last year Nikos, we had some thunder and lightening with heavy rain this this time but only for two days, otherwise it was the best holiday to date.
We have planned to stay at a better hotel next time we go and while we were in Skiathos we went to look at it, cannot wait.

 It must be from 2012 but i only an hour ago just found out the 'holiday topic'. Greek islands are easily accessible for Greeks,it's just driving and ship. Haven't you ever thought of trying any other Greek island? Like Rhodes for eg,Corfu(ionian sea in Greek it's Kerkyra),Myconos or Santorini (the 3rd top destination worlwide) Paros,Naxos. Fantastic hotels and service.

We usually visit ionian islands such as Zakynthos (Laganas is almost an English territory),Leukada Kefalonia and Kerkyra.

I can't believe you turned the central heating on, on June 23. When i read this i almost passed out . It's 30 degrees now and without air conditioning  you don't survive here. Tomorow we are going to the beach, first time for  summer.

I take it  you just didn't like the place and did not experience something negative over there.Zante, isn't another name for Zakynthos though?

We didn't like Zante because it seemed like a Spanish holiday, we could go to Spain if that is what we wanted but we like Skiathos because it is a beautiful place and you feel like you are in Greece.

We have to go to Manchester, no flights to Skiathos from Liverpool.

Sure you are not reffering to sth else Stuey? Zakynthos (or else Zante,it's the same thing)is a Ionian sea islanld. Is it possible to get there from Skiathos only for one day?
