Sure you are not reffering to sth else Stuey? Zakynthos (or else Zante,it's the same thing)is a Ionian sea islanld. Is it possible to get there from Skiathos only for one day?

My mistake Nikos, it was not Zakynthos (Zante) we went to from Skiathos, it must have been some other Island, I will ask my wife she has a better memory than me.
We have been to Zante before we went to Skiathos but I definitely would not go back there.

Just booked to go to Scotland in October.  It's the last of the places in the UK that I promised to take Paul to so I'm looking forward to showing him around as he's never been

Loch Rannoch, Perthshire is where we're based mate.  If I've remembered correctly from my kayaking days, it's fairly central, close to the Highlands and beautifully wild. 

We don't have any set plans yet but I want to see Loch Lomond, Oban/Fort William (I love that coastline), visit the RSPB Reserve at Loch Garten to hopefully see the Ospreys and no doubt Paul will want to see Loch Ness.

Should have been Alonisos which is nearby, but never mind. You've made it clear to me  that you really love Skiathos my friend so make sure you enjoy every single moment whenever you get there and wish you to be able to visit the place even more often than you are now if this is possible.

Our favorite Greek island is Corfu (Kerkyra for the Greeks) especially my wife's (honestly i can't remember how many times she has dragged me over there) where we even  had our little daughter been baptised five years ago (as if there weren't any churches in our place, Patra, 4 hours driving plus 1 hour and 30 minutes ship, anyway). She maintains though that if we lived in an island (and she means kerkyra of course) on a permanent basis that would add quality to our lives and that it would be a perfect place for our kid's upbringing; i wouldn't disagree with the latter however.

You have so many beautiful islands in Greece you really are lucky, even the more commercialised ones such as Zante and Corfu have a hidden beauty away from the tourists.
You must be tempted to move to another island, even though where you live now would seem beautiful to me.

Looking to go on a tour of Italy this summer for around two weeks. Have never visited the wonderful country before so would greatly appreciate any recommendations as to where to visit, stay etc.

I went to Verona for a few days a couple of years or so back and I enjoyed it there. Not a great distance from Milan either which I would have liked to have seen if I was there longer.

How long you going to be there, what are you looking to do (Disney? Universal, etc..?), do you want to stay in a resort (hotel) or are you looking for more of a condo/apt type rental? September is a good time to go....that's usually about the least crowded (relative) time of year in Orlando because it's hotter than Hell during the day.

It is looking like it could be a three weeker mate. Looking to do the whole Disney and theme park thing. There is going to be a gang but we want to be in a villa that is just for the four of us especially if we're going for that long.
