Well done to everyone who has been involved in sport generally this year.  They've all contributed to a truly amazing year.

      Loving his suit!

As much as Bradley deserves the award I really wanted Andy Murray to win but congratulations Bradley.

Also although all the winners were well deserved I thought this year there was an air of inevitability about almost every award and I do like when a surprise or two pops up.

Quite surprising as I would have thought Murray second and Ennis third before tonight.

Jessica does get a lot of media exposure though which would help her vote.

Percentage of those votes for the 1-2-3: Wiggo 30.25%, Jess 22.92%, Murray 14.17%. More on the other nine Monday morning

Not quite the one vote margin they talked about earlier.

I guess you're right there about Jess Ennis but she deserved it as well because she could have been in the media spotlight acting like most other people in the media spotlight but every time she has appeared in the media spotlight she's come across as probably one of the nicest people in the whole world.

      Indeed.  :gt-happyup:

I'm sure I read something a while back that top sports stars who are very fit and don't drink much alcohol, if any, tend to get drunk very quickly.

Yeah he probably only had half a shandy mate  ;)

He does spend a fair bit of time in the pub though for an athlete.
