On the channel I was watching one of the 'experts' said 'This just confirms the suspicion that Liverpool play better without Torres' I nearly spat my beer out!!

They're always going to start stuff like that when a big player is out. They did with Gerrard a while back. Arseholes. ::)

Fair do's to Scolari in his post match interview. Said we won because were better than them in certain situations in the match. I hope his humbleness isn't due to a lack of grasp in the English language. It'd be a damn shame as he's come across as a cracking fella.

Since his dilly dallying on the edge of the box against Wigan which cost us their first goal, I've been heavily crictical of Dan Agger saying he needs to know when to play the ball and went to just get rid, today I thought he was immense and as good as Carra throughout. He got it spot on, he knew when to smash it away as well as play the calm pass at times. If he keeps that form up, he'll re-establish himself as one of the world's greatest centre halves.

Well done Dan, would of been worthy of MOTM just as much.

      Awesome!

Second half display showed we are worthy of our place at the top!

Alonso is back to his best.  Every player deserves so much praise.

Babel to be Rafa's reliable second option after Torres from now on? He was a big threat playing upfront tonight.

He certainly was. Handy on the ball and looked a threat even considering we were in a bit more of a defensive set up.

The difference in is hold up play when he came on compared to Keane's was laughable.  Babel has the potential to be the next Henry - he has everything - power, pace and shot.

RIERA - this guy is amazing.  How good was he in the first half - keeping hold of the ball at walking pace and always looking up for a Red shirt.  I'm so happy!

That's how he's been penned anyways. Starting out on the wing then moving up front.

It's like the second coming! :D

If he turns out as good as Henry then that's bargain of the century by Benitez.

Babel has def steeped it up this season and up front is his best position IMO. Wasn't expecting a whole lot from rieira when we signed him but he has shown some top skill and could well turn out to be a winner for us.

All the build up was "can Chelsea go all season unbeaten?" Well no they F***ing can't but we can, we've taken Chelsea's home record and now we're on the way to taking Arsenal's unbeaten 49 games record.

riera is definetly turning out as a top signing by rafa. not only does he provide width, he can cross beat a man with his turn of pace, not like nando but over 5/10 yards he's quick, also he has a few tricks, he showed today he could also hold up the ball which was frustrating chelsea today, i lost count of the times he was fouled especially in the last ten mins.

on babel i'm a big fan and although he hasn't played much he has had a telling contribution, setting up kuyt v liege, winner v mancs caused lots of problems today. maybe we will see babel and keane upfront on weds?

Frank was no-where to be seen! He drifted in and out of the game sporadically, which wasn't helped (for him) by the fact that our mid-field was completely dominant.

Wooo-oh-oh! We've got the best midfield in the world!

      Lampard who?

      Deco who?

Mikel who? Did any of these players existed in today's match?

Lampard was no match compared to Gerrard was he. And I must admit I thought Deco would cause more problems. Was Mikel even playing?  ;)

At the end of the day, that has nothing to do with lack of players for the chavs like Andy Gray would have everyone believe. It's all down to our midfield.

Bring it on, think reira will have a wonder game, their weak down their right as boswinga loves pushing forward. Hopefully 2-1, would be great to smash their record.

With all the hype surrounding the chavs start to the season, we were always considered to be lucky to be were we were, joint first in the table. Now, after the chavs forced just one save from Pepe all match, and were totally out played in all areas of the park, they still look for excuses why. We were absolutley brilliant in every position. No M.O.T.M. for me today, every one played thier part, especially Rafa with the tactics. I cannot remember the last time we have looked so confident in every position, consistently. The chavs had thier moments in mid field but they were never able to penetrate with clear cut chances in the last third.  We had them on the rack a few times, 0 - 1  flattered them.  As in a previous topic. Do you hear the praise ? No, do you F**k. Do you care ? No, do you F**k. Now lets keep  powering on.   :kop5cf8koxp6:
