Vincent Kompany (Man City)

anyone thinks we should sign this guy from citeh in the january window? watched him before he went there and was class and has looked great when i have seen him this year, heard a lot of good things about him

would sit with either mascerano or alonso in the middle and let gerrard roam forward all the time. can also play centre half.

I dont want him at the club, would much rather see someone from our youth or reserve ranks intoduced. We have enough players for the position he plays in anyway so would just be a waste of money IMO.

I havent seen him play, but considering that Man city have infinitely much money, I cant see them selling him if he really is class. Also doubtable if he wants to move since Man City would probably offer him higher wages than us, and he has only been there a half year.

We let Sissoko go because we're full in that department ... and he couldn't pass. If Masch is injured we have Xabi and vice-versa. No deal.

i dont think we have seen enough of Kompany in the premiership or football in generall yet for him to warrant the tag 'as good as masch'

No absolutely not he is a descent player that I am sure we can replace and cater for with some of the prospects in the reserves.

To say that he is just as good as Masch is an insult to Javier and every true Reds fan. Besides why are you suggesting we buy players when things are going so well with the current squad and the centre of midfield is where we have plenty of cover. I have seen him play alot and he is a good player but i shouldn't buy him. He makes to many little mistakes.
And compare him with mascherano is useless, mascherano is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

I agree that Kompany is a good player. Dont think we need him or anything. I remember a couple of seasons ago when Mourinho wanted to sign him for Chelsea and i looked him up. I noticed then he was good. Seems a very commanding player. Very comfortable on the ball. Still only young.

From what I know of the young lad he's naturally a centre half. So considering that we don't need him as Agger is now fit, Skrtel is on his way to fitness, Carra is just irreplaceable at times, Sami is still useful and we have a host of youngsters ready to step up when needed, so for his natural position we don't need him.

For the position City have been playing him we certainly don't need him. Xabi has refound his first season form, Masch is like a dog with a bone, Stevie is Stevie and Lucas is...well ok we could get him as fourth choice. But considering we have promising youngsters like Spearing, Flynn and Plessis to step up we don't Vincent Kompany.

He's a good player, but then again Wright-Phillips was a good player at City who couldn't hack it at a big club.

He would be one of the last players I would take from City when you look at where he plays, there is about half a dozen players on Man City I would take before him.

Kompany is not world class you saw him play once, he is above average at best, why buy someone who will struggle to make our bench
