      Get Well Soon Iain Hume
      Nov 11, 2008 04:09:22 pm
Don't know if anybody's seen the incident involvin Barnsley's Iain Hume and Sheff Utd's Chris Morgan.

If you haven't let me tell you it was shockin. He purposely elbowed Hume in the head, which has left the former Tranmere and Leicester forward in hospital with a fractured skull. Morgan wasn't even sent off, he was just yellow carded.

He should be banned for the rest of the season, at least, because he has purposely went out to hurt a fellow player. Well congratulations Mr Morgan, you have hurt Iain. You've put him in hospital where he will be for some time.

My thoughts are with Iain Hume and his family. Get well soon Iain.

Not seen it, so can't comment on the intention or not behind the incident.

Never good to see a player hurt from a part of the body a footballer shouldn't be using.  I see the Arsenal keeper also had a fractured skull after that challenge with that United no-mark.

As a supporter of my national team I seen him play a many of times for Canada and I hope the best for him and his family. The guy is tough so I know he will do his best to fight back to full fitness.

I also seen Neil Warnock trying to defend the other player saying it looked worst than it was  ::)

Heard about it, but haven't seen it!

Have seen Chris Morgan a few times when we played Sheff Utd, and in my opinion is one horrible c**t. And quelle surprise Warnock has been defending him, I think Morgan is Neil's b***ard child!

Hope Ian recovers, always impressed me when he played for Tranmere.

It was horrible and was only a matter of time before someone got seriously hurt as a result of the way he plays - if you can call it that.

Hope Hume makes a full and speedy recovery

You can see it there. Disgraceful. Should be banned for as long as it takes for Hume to recover.

      Hope he recovers soon.

It's worse in slow motion, you can actually see the intent from that thug Morgan.

I still say ban him for the season.

No question that's a bad attack, let's not use the word foul.

Sickens when the club pathetically stand by their players, such as Newcastle and Joey Barton.

Agree - ban him for the season.  That kind of stuff needs to be wiped out of the game.

After seeing it, the incident reminds me a little bit of Fashanu on Mabbutt, the way Morgan leads with his elbow.

Unfortunatly i don't think there will be any further punishment for Morgan, due to the fact the ref gave him a yellow card!

Under the FA's discplinary code I think that means the matter is dealt with.

Respect the ref and they make decisons like that one?

If I heard right on Sky Sports News before, Simon Davey (Tykes manager) is lookin to take the matter legally. He's just gettin advice as to whether they should sue Sheff Utd the club or Morgan personally. I'd rather they did both and won both. Horrible c**t Morgan.

now that i have seen the clip, what a F***ing disgrace a fellow sportsman doing that to another, morgan should be banned for the season, heavy fine to go along with the ban, also you can see the intent in that elbow.
if that was to happen on the streets there would be criminal charges of abh, gbh.
F***ing throw the book at him. >:(

He was the best player I've ever saw down at Prenton Park.  What an absolute shame.  The FA need to book their F***ing ideas up and make an example of Morgan.  Surely it should be classed assault?!

I hope Iain makes a speedy recovery.

He shouldn't play again, Iain will be out for ages, and there's clear intent.

The FA need to take action

Couldn't agree more. Can't stand the sight of him to be honest. It was only a matter of time until he seriously injured someone by not being able to play the game properly and fairly. Serious further action needs to be taken..

      Get well soon Iain.
