      Robbie Keane out injured
      Nov 16, 2008 08:14:42 pm
Heard this on sky sports news

Robbie Keane has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland's friendly with Poland with a shoulder injury.

Keane reported for training on Sunday ahead of the game at Croke Park on Wednesday but has now returned to Liverpool for treatment.

The striker started his club's Premier League game at Bolton on Saturday but missed a couple of great chances before being substituted early in the second half of the 2-0 win.

First Gerrard out, now Keane...........who's next?

Torres maybe?  Bloody hope not, but you know what happens everytime Nando goes on International duty  ::)

I hope all these injuries are only small little ones and don't affect things to much.

We can't manage without our star players.  :(

Nothing on the offal yet. If Nando comes back injury free, it looks like he'll start against Fulham.

I don't think Nando will be going on international duty either with an .... injury.

      Good work Rafa.

It's funny how both of them(Gerrard and Keane) were subbed out against Bolton then got "hurt" later. Rafa really thought this through it seems.

Absolutely. Irritating to say the least these internationals.

I expect a swift recovery from both Keane and Gerrard. Hopeful of it anyway.

Sod all wrong with Keane other than a meaningless international friendly. I expect both Steive and Robbie to bit ready for Fulham.

This could be a chance for Babel?! He had said on sky that he is worried about his position at the club. Only a sub?! And if he plays only as a wing.....

great call, keane always trips over himself when he tries to score..... he really needs a confidence boost, and to see babel putting a few away may motivate him to get back to his best

      KEANE OUT OF IRELAND CLASH
Robbie Keane has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland's friendly with Poland after picking up a shoulder injury.

The Reds striker reported for training ahead of his country's Croke Park clash on Wednesday but has now returned to Merseyside for treatment.

The news follows hot on the heels of Steven Gerrard's withdrawal from the England squad.

The Liverpool skipper is missing after tearing a leg muscle in Saturday's 2-0 win at Bolton, although he has been asked to report to England boss Fabio Capello ahead of his country's clash with Germany.
