Have to agree with you Ross, he doesn't seem to bring anything to the team, I certainly don't get excited when I see Rafa bringing him on  :(

Think he could be one of the players to leave in the summer.

Thought he was showing really good signs of pushing on when he scored that belter against Cardiff in the League Cup. Don't see what he can offer the club though, not pushed on at all and will certainly never be a key player.

Nabil isn't good enough for Liverpool.

He's already 24 and I actually feel more excitement when a 19 year old Pacheco comes on.

Definitely one of the players I'd sell in the summer.

I think El Zhar hasn't been given a chance. Don't knock him bcause he's the best young player Liverpool have produced in a while. He played really well against Hull on sunday and nearly won us the game with his first touch.

He offers just some speak off the bench which really isn't enough, 24 he should be getting into the prime of his playing career and to be honest it doesn't look to promising for him. I think he can could find him-self with a lower level club in Holland or France but I wouldn't see him as Premiership quality let alone Liverpool quality.

If El Zhar is the best young player we ve produced in a while it just shows how fu**ed our youth system was.

I don't think El Zhar is anywhere near good enough to be playing for us and as we need all the money we can get to go towards any new signings then he is definitely one player who should be moved on this summer.

If he, Benayoun, Babel, Kuyt and Maxi were in competition for the two wide areas/wings, I'd say he's the 5th best.

Just not good enough, IMO, and he's 24 years old. Would rather see his game time given to the likes of Pacheco.

I still wonder why we kept him but have sold on the likes of Buchtmann, Hammill, Anderson etc.

Hard to pass any real comment on the lad when he hasn't been played an awful lot.

At 24 years old surely he deserves a development thread and time, I mean he's only a year old than Lucas  :f_tongueincheek:

Since when has he been a liverpool player? when did he sign? great news thath were signing quality young players! one fo the future hopefully! most of the times young players come 2 the club but dont stay on hopefully this will be different! what use think of him?

the original post above hails the arrival of this promising young player (born in 1986), the post was in oct 2006, the 'young' player is now 24 years old and the icelandic ash cloud has had more of an impact on LFC than he has. get rid, we need to get these failed 'potentials' off our wage bill and cut our losses.

@ 24 he really should be near to his path to peak performance. Yes he hasn't played a huge amount but when he has, in my opinion been quite poor.
Time to wish him well...either a loan deal or bye bye

I'm not so sure that we should get rid.

The lad could have made more of an impact this year if he hadn't been injured.

He's direct, has a bit of skill, a decent turn of pace and likes to have a crack at goal.

I think he could be a usefull squad player - but only a squad player - unless he suddenly comes on leaps and bounds (not beyond the realms of possibility) because he hasn't matured particularly quickly, then a squad player is all he'll ever be.

Imagine if we sold him, he went to Fulham, had a great season - we'd all be like "WTF?" why couldn't he do that for us?

Keep him for now as an impact player and a squad member.

Been riddled with injuries this year but even then I think we have more promising players coming through on that side. Amoo and Sterling both play on the right. Ince and Silva can play on either side. Thats not including Pacheco and some loan players like Eccelston. I think El Zhar should make way for some of the afformentioned players

bye, bye if you ask me. hes not good enough to be a squad player for us. i feel disappointed in the yank cu*ts every time i see him coming on as sub as it shows the lack of squad depth we have because of them raping our club. he could be a good championship player though and i think he should give it a shot.
