The league race is really hotting up now ….for 2nd 3rd and 4th. I fancy Spurs for Sunday as long as we do what we have done for two seasons now and win against Soton at home.

So can someone do the math and tell me what we need should City drop points against Spurs and City and where we "could" sow it up?

If/ when we beat saints, we’ll have 73 points.
If spuds beat city, city will remain on 51 points. 22 behind us.
6 wins and a draw will take us to 92 points. 90 will be the max city can get if they win all their remaining games after the spuds one. Even if city v spuds is a draw they will only get 91 points max.
I don’t think they’ll win all their remaining fixtures personally, so as long as we keep wining, we could become uncatchable a lot sooner !

So we need to lose 6 games and draw 1, for city to catch us, and they need to win all they're games.

14 games to go.

In reality probably another 6 or 7 wins confirms it. as city will drop points, esp. over they're next run of games, can see pep prioritizing cup games, so long as they're comfortably in champions league spots.
