We are in charge and have the slightly easier fixtures.
Of the remaining 15 matches, we have 7 identical fixtures to City (same opponent both of us play them home or both of us play them away) : -
Leicester (h)
Man U (a)
Watford (h)
Everton (a)
Spurs (h)
Chelsea (h)
Newcastle (a)
As these are identical fixtures, there is no advantage either way.
5 "opposite" fixtures (if we play them home, City play them away and vice versa) with us playing: -
West Ham (a)
Bourn (h)
Burnley (h)
Fulham (h)
Cardiff (a)
So we play 3 of these home, 2 away, but City obviously have 2 home & 3 away, so slight advantage to us?
The other 3 matches are:-
Us
Huddersfield (h)
Wolves (h)
Soton (a)
City
Palace (a)
Brighton (a)
Arsenal (h)
So us having 2 home, 1 away, them having 1 home, 2 away and arguably more difficult opponents overall?
So, from purely matching up all our remaining fixtures, we have slight advantage BEFORE our 4 point lead. Obviously things don't pan out as simply as this, but just think it looks interesting and positive if viewed like this.
