Krisztian Nemeth (Hearts -> now Blackpool)

LIVERPOOL youngster Krisztian Nemeth is attracting interest from north of the border.

Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo has revealed he would love to sign the 19-year-old Hungarian striker in the transfer window but admits the deal is unlikely to happen.

Nemeth has made his mark for Gary Ablett’s reserves since arriving from MTK Hungaria in the summer of 2007 and is tipped to break into Rafa Benitez's first team squad.

“Do I want to sign more Hungarians? Yes, if they're good enough,” said Laszlo.

“We were interested in Liverpool starlet Nemeth but his price is very high and we don't have money to waste.”

Wouldnt say our whole reserves team beat Rangers, a few were in there though.

I'm not sure if a loan deal will suit Krisztian, he seems to me to be the kind that needs to play first team or move else where although this is just a feeling and nothing concrete. If he was to go on loan, maybe the lure of promised first team football to help him develop will be too much to keep him here. Now obviously this could be the case for any loanee but not always.

(All opinion based, just hits me as the kind of guy)

why should he go to a coca cola league 1 team thats in 8th place :S when hes playing in the reserves of one of the top four and scoring goals, wheares with hearts they usually come around 3rd, and there he would be playing in a team of his current quality. Definetly going to have strong words to say if Rafa does sell him, I trust he won't, he didn't sell leto when he could have done for a profit. I think rafa values youngsters more than gerard houlier did/ever will.

If Rafa is buying in players of the calibre of Dossena and Ngog and letting Nemeth go, I think he needs his marbles felt not his gall stones. I would seriously question his sanity.

Being a Scottish football follower, I can honestly say hes to good for the OF, let alone Hearts

A loan move would be good for him just to get the feeling of scoring at that level, but as no such move has been hinted at I think it's fair to expect Nemeth will still be here come next season. He was given a squad number at the start of the season, which shows there's some belief in him from the management. At 19 I'd like to see him given a try out soon though otherwise he'll never quite develop into the star he's got the promise to be.

Liverpool got beaten 5x0 by some German team in the season we made all the way to the UCL final. It means nothing.

Rafa is terrible when it comes about giving the youngsters a chance, so I wouldnt mind letting him go in a loan deal till the end of the season.

I think Rafa learnt his lesson from the Burnley match, so I don't think he will put youngsters out for that, just squad players. I really don't see him moving into the first team this season so a loan move maybe a good option but I would like him to move to the Championship as it is a very competitive league.

SPL is a joke, Celtic, the best team in the SPL were the worst team in the Champions League easily

I'm sorry, but how on earth can you not judge players from watching the reserves? You might not be able to clearly judge whether they are ready to make the step up into the first team, but you can certainly judge whether they are a good player or not.

no ill stick by what I said I do rate nemeth but watching reserve games is much slower than league games they are less compeditive I do watch reserve games and the quality of the other teams is usually much lower than league one and when players like pennant play you can tell there only going through the motions a loan move would be benificial for nemeth and would give him the confidence to prove to himself that he can succed at liverpool
