Ok, so recently you've drawn with us twice,
And for you that must've been nice.
But tonight you're gonna get beat,
So much so that you'll be crying down the street.

As you saw against Chelsea, Torres is back,
Back to show that he's the greatest in attack.
You're the rats he's gonna experiment on tonight,
Cos it's toffees that he likes to bite!

Two goals from set-pieces you may have got,
But that certainly is your lot.
A clean sheet you can sleep in today,
We're just gonna blow you away.

Always remember your status Blue sh*te,
You've won nothing compared to our Red Might.
The FA Cup is your only hope again,
But by 10.00 you'll be knocked out by the men.

Don't worry though...there's always next year for you,
As well as (once more!) the UEFA Cup too.
The Reds, as they say, will go marching on,
And the blue side of Merseyside is soon to be gone.

At least you can say you took part,
From that you can take some heart.
That is what losers always say,
Once again, it's gonna be our day!!!

If Rafa really rates the FA Cup then we should play the same team we did against the chavs simple as really

      Hmmm maybe..........

I would rather field a stronger team.
I don't think Carra will ever stand for missing a derby game !!
I'd rather give Aurelio a start at left back following the performance agaist the Chavs but understand that he will most likely be rested. This is also down to the fact that I'd rather start my granny than Dossena.
I reckon you're probably right about Lucas but I'd rather start Alonso.
Diggler deserves a rest and Benayoun put in a decent effort against the Chavs which I hope will be repeated.
As for Babel, if we're talking in terms of resting Nando, Id let him have a go up front and play Riera out left. A derby FA cup replay is no place for N'Gogs inexperience.

I just believe we need to approach it in the hope of gaining the biggest win possible and boosting morale to start off a winning streak that, with any luck will last until the end of the season !

Keep the same team we had against Chelsea except for bringing Yossi in for Kuyt.

I know we don't want Nando to get injured again, but as Huyton Red said we can't wrap him up in Cotton wool, he needs to get out there and play and wipe the smile off the bitters faces when they think they have got a chance of beating us.

He's a young fit lad and he should be able to play tonight and against Pompey, just take him off tonight when we have the game sown up. I'm sure after he's missed so many games already this season, he'll want to play anyway.

Stevie and Jamie should and will also want to play to gee the other non-scousers up for this game. We can't have them getting the better of us.

Sounds like there's a bit of unrest in the Everton camp anyway  :lmao: that should please moyes.

Anyway Come On You Mighty Reds and spoil the party for the bitter blues.

Pride of Merseyside is ours again.

      1-0..........Torres

I appreciate that but he is still on the way back from injury.

The game could go to extra time.

Do you really want it to be 0-0 and have to take him off after 90 minutes.

I'd prefer to see him start on the bench and take it from there.

Good point but N'Gog hardly has the experience required for a game like this. Who do you suggest Kuyt ? Babel ?
Personally I think Babel is due a chance.

Yeah good point JD, difficult to know what to do with Torres, I suppose under the circumstances it would be best to have him on the bench.

At least then if things aren't going our way, we can bring him on.

I'm sure Rafa will do the right thing with him.

We need to know what Ngog is made of 'cos if Torres is injured we need Babel & Ngog fighting for their place as strikers.

Scored a decent goal in a run out against PSV in the European Cup, same game in which Babel scored as well !!

Yeah but are we not kind of dropping him in at the deep end by expecting him to perform in an FA cup derby replay ?

Thats why I'd play Nando, bring him on if we're doing the business by about the 70 min mark.
